  • So much excellent information. When you do your next video on used evs try to focus on battery health and treatment as part of it. I think your car tracks the charge history. Just like a ice engine, treatment can make or break a supposedly good deal. For the accessories, to all buyers...be careful. The new 2024 model 3 is not compatable with a lot of it. The floor mats appear to be in that category. The app says not compatable...the website says otherwise. That goes for several accessories. Ordering the white seats is a must...totally agree.

    • 6 guage wire / 60 amp breaker and a REAL Tesla Wall connector, stay away from the 14-50 unless you are in a RV park, and even then dial down the charge amperage to 32 so as to not trip their breaker and make bad will with the park for the next EV that pulls in.

    • I'm concerned about that here in GA as well. I see other EVs with the ventilated seats but they just don't compare to Tesla's strong tech hold. Tough call, guess I'll be sweating a lot lol. Do you feel the AC works well at making the cabin comfortable and if it's on constantly all summer how does that affect range? We get so many 90+ degree summer days, I'm def gonna need shades on the glass.

  • Question for anyone who might know 🙏🏻🙏🏻 as this is my first Tesla and still finding out stuff daily. When I get into the car after work and navigate home I noticed on top of screen is wavey / looks like a water illusion , this happens for several minutes then goes away. I thought this was because I was navigating to a supercharger but it happened today just navigating home. I also have cabin overheat protection on. Then I thought maybe the screen is to hot and that is causing the wavey watery looking mirage on top of screen?? Is this indeed because of heat and is this normal ?? I also have a sun shade I use too. Thank you Aaron

    @cellman1829@cellman1829Ай бұрын
    • Assuming you’re talking about a screen distortion? No that is not normal or at least i’ve never seen it. I would take videos/pictures next time it happens and report it via the app. Service should be able to get you taken care of.

I thought this wasn't an issue since this is one piece unlike the legacy model 3 🙈🙈 advisor said oh yeah this happens give it a week and it should be fine. It's been two weeks and it's still there. They are coming to my place to replace the taillight. Then I noticed some paint issues so I will report that. Other than that I love the car. Thank you again. • Another mistake. Don't buy the black or dark gray color Teska. Why? According to a report by Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC) in Victoria Australia, black colored cars have a higher percentage of car crashes at night due to their low visibility. The study examined the police reports of 855,258 car crashes that happened in Australia between 1987-2004. The data were taken from Victoria and Western Australia because these are the only two Australian states that include vehicle color in their crash reports. The study found that when driving a black car at night, you are 47% more likely to get involved in a car accident. 12% more likely during the day. Black wheels, black tinted windows and blacked out chrome only make matters worse. A white car is the safest color. Followed by light colored cars such as light blue, light green etc. For your safety, never buy a black colored car.

  • First point about charging at home; Not everyone has a driveway, and many people live in apartments that do not have access to charging, therefore the only solution is public chargers. Guess what? They're slow on an already slow charge time, and fast chargers are mostly occupied so you charge at a reduced rate compounding charge time problems. Also I'd like to point out it's 5mins tops to fuel an ICE car and range doesn't drop to sht if you use the A/C or heater.

    @Accuaro@AccuaroАй бұрын
    • I live in an apartment & plan on charging at a Tesla supercharger only 15 minutes from my apartment.. my commute is short, don't plan on needing to charge more than once every 10 days..no more oil changes / no more dealership service ripping me off.. I'm so done with ICE 😂

  • I was with you until the ambient lighting. Not only is that a waste of money, it can be dangerous. For optimal vision out in dark conditions, the darker the interior, the better. That idiot screen is already by far too large and complex, and at night is too bright if the light level is high enough to make it visible. I regularly drive on unlit roads at night. Darker inside is much safer. Ambient lighting hurts your night vision. The difference can be life or death, because without ambient lighting and with the dash lights low you may just be able to see, and so avoid, the moose that will come through your windshield and into your lap if you dont see it in time. If a moose lands in your lap, the moose may survive. You will not.

  • Not so good for me, I paid $250 deposit on a model Y only to cancel due to price, I get on line 2 days later and see that they dropped the price on the car $1800, sooo, I paid another $250 deposit to secure a car and very foolishly thought my trade value would stay the same, WRONG, they dropped the value of my car $1500 in two days, nothing changed, no extra miles, nothing. I understand market value but the minute I got the smack down on me, I did an online estimate on trade in value at Tesla and for some reason, the value was actually higher than my original trade value, $1600 higher than what they were offering in the final documentation, these games they play, I'll never deal with them again... **EDIT** After contacting them, and telling them what I thought, they raised the price of my trade to more than what the original was, so I'm happy now. I am not finalized yet but I'm still not seeing the $7500 tax credit coming off anywhere in the figures, I qualify for it, I hope it drops off at the end, can't take anything for granted it seems.

    • Are they doing the tax credits at point of sale? I'm wanting to get a used one and some of them are under 25k so I am hoping they will do the 4k credit at POS.

  • In the inventory section you forgot to mention to ask the date of production of the car. I recently ordered a Model X 2024. While waiting, they offered me an X that was produced in October 2023 vs mine that finally arrived on March 26 2024. Three things: 1- the warranty would have been starting on October 2023 instead of March 26 2024, 2- There is sometimes significant physical improvements between several months, 3- You have to take the car as it is, meaning with the options and cost associated with it

  • Assuming that everyone buying a Tesla can charge at home is either completely out of touch or disingenuous. My family is considering purchasing a used Tesla, but the home they own was built in 1920 with a detached garage. To charge at home they would have to mount a charger to the outside of their house next to the driveway which is difficult and expensive. And they actually own the house they are living in, plenty of people own an apartment or are renting which makes it much harder to find a way to charge at home. Given how long it takes to charge at a supercharger when your actually paying attention to battery health, range is absolutely a major and reasonable consideration.

    @Elias_Ainsworth92@Elias_Ainsworth92Ай бұрын
    • Exactly why I don't recommend people buy Tesla's or any EV for that matter without being able to charge at home. Can you? yes but are you missing out on the best part on owning an EV, also yes. I would say most people buying Tesla's that can't charge at home aren't planning for that to always be the case and will eventually buy a home or obtain the ability to charge at home.

    • Haha. My thot exactly! What?!!! You don’t need to worry about range in an electric vehicle?!!! And getting gas is more out of your way than charging up just because you have a charger at home?!!! Hahahah. This guy is smoking something baaaaaad. 😂

      @dougo5673@dougo567328 күн бұрын
    • I mean….ya. He’s right. Gas is more inconvenient because you have to drive somewhere to get it, while those with electric vehicles can get their energy at home. Like he mentioned, the only time gas is more convenient is on road trips, but most people don’t have a road trip every day.
