    • Exactly! Man, I live in Japan and have been through the justice system here and the only people who receive justice is system. You are literally guilty until proven innocent here. They can keep you in jail for 3 weeks here without even charging you for a thing; extensive interrogations and if you’re found innocent or the prosecutor can’t find enough evidence to charge you, they’ll release you, but you can pretty much kiss your job and sometimes family, goodbye. There is literally nothing you can do but “confess”. The Japanese don’t know how to do real police work. They rely on confessions here, it’s crazy.

Gets 17 million dollars per Anum at the cost of many restrutures he did at Renault's. Is not the receipe... There's always another day.. You can't be heartless. .im sure the Lebanese accepted him. Means he paid heavily to make that escape. .to some top Officials or Maybe the Boss of Lebanon. .there Is nothing ethical in his conducts. He made Millions for himself and for a few buddies at the top.. But he must reflect on the CURSE of God for hurting and demolishing lively hoods of both Michelin Tyres ..Renault's and Nissan. How many stomach did he kill to achieve goals unilaterally to gain profits... There is a limit to Man of Company Goals... I hope he gets back what he did to workers.. The price for uncouth behavior and greed with no empathy... The higher the rise the steeper the fall.

They can then make a new charge and hold you for another 21days, theres no limit on how many charges they can hold you for. Meaning the can hold you indefinitely. Japanese prosecutors are more about forcing confessions than actuslly gathering evidence. The stress of being held indefinitely makes many confess to the crimes even if theyre not guilty of it

And what the French government did afterwards was nothing less than a dog act, but we've come to expect that from the Gauls. The way he saved those companies was savage, no mistake about that, but it was a reasonable call. Lay off some people today, or lay everybody off tomorrow. And I think his explanations for those things that attracted the corruption charges against him were at least fundamentally reasonable. You don't throw a man down a hole for that, even in Japan. I suspect that the Japanese authorities new of the escape plan and let it happen, or assisted, instead of going through an embarrassing public trial where the system would be fully exposed. Japan is still governed by its militaristic pat and most of the people in leadership positions have roots that go back to the end of WWII when the US wrote the Japan constitution. They made provision in order to keep the right wing in power to fight the communists, and the result is a soft dictatorship with harder edges below the surface and to hide it, they created Hello Kitty...great country, though, as long as you stay away from politics

I think it takes a lot more skill to keep as many of those people employed as possible, which obviously Ghosn either didn't have or didn't care to put into practice.

    • It's more complicated than that. Also with the cutting costs etc... it's not that they don't know, it's the fact they don't have the balls to do it... a sitting ceo would look bad n possibly resign after such action... cuz the mess is under his watch, so they normally resign before making it messier. Then the board hires a ceo with balls to clean the mess n pay him handsomely. A win win, they don't get a dirty name n the laid off workers are mad at the new ceo. Who has a clean slate to build from.

    • Much easier said than done. It is very difficult for people to embrace change. Look where Ford, Toyota and others are compared to Tesla ! Work today requires people to think and implement smart ideas to survive in cut throat business. People either need to upgrade their knowledge and skills with the current world or lose their work. If not Carlos someone else would have done the same job and praised for the effort. Imagine yourself as an entrepreneur - if you have a choice to continue paying for 10 employees for manual work or use automation in your business and keep only 2 employees - while it gets 40-50% cost savings to your business - what will be your decision ? 😂 Like I said easier said than done.
