    • @@RXM333 There is only one train in one track in one block section. So if signal is given, that train will run uninterrupted till the next station in its track because it is the only train on that track. Trains overtake each other only at a station. Which train will overtake at the station is decided by the station master or the control. Train driver has no say in it. What you think is two trains racing is two trains running on their own tracks where multiple parallel tracks are available.

Obviously it is controlled by station master and section controllers If a train Parellely Go through the other train than it is called as parellel overtake! The other overtake is looping a train on the station and giving priority for the other train Which just trials behind it as you told! And Also these are not races These are matters of priority.
