After working in law enforcement for nearly 56 years, LC "Buckshot" Smith is one of the oldest police officers in the US. At 91, he continues serving his small town in Arkansas.

    • I suspect he’s more of a community cop that a law enforcement one. At that age he’s a mascot, and quite possibly a valuable asset in a way most cops can’t be: by being everyone’s grandad. I think it’s a lovely way to keep a good man happy.

  • You're supposed to have rules on fitness and weight and ability to do their job. This has been thrown out the window, hence so many short obese female and male officers, that couldn't run down a criminal, so would probably shoot them! If I was being mugged, I don't know what this officer could do except teaser or shoot the mugger!
