We have a sheikh here with extensive knowledge and a doctorate from a top tier university specializing in Islamic studies but another sheikh who simply has a KZhead following sees YQ as against Islam because he doesn’t agree with /left a group that represents a small minority of Muslims who think any Muslims who don’t agree with them completely are “lesser.”

  • I came here to see if deja vu was explained in relation to qadr or islam, but then got a full lecture of hadith science, which increased my knowledge. Key takeaway of hadiths: Hadiths are preserved by meaning and not by words. So wording can differ and change the meaning, thats why crossreference of multiple authentic can determine the correct meaning. Whereas all 7 ahruf Quran variation were one by one variation and word by word, thaught to prophet muhammad saw which has been preserved orally and written. Oral preservation makes sure that quran is being thaught correctly generation to generation, if one makes a mistake another hafiz (person who memorized the quran) can correct their mistake. Each hafiz gets a certificate from the hafiz teacher they learnt it from, it all traces back so there is no mistake in preservation. jazakallah khair

    @unknownrealist5374@unknownrealist53742 жыл бұрын
    • The topic that you've asked is more related to psychology than it is to a religious scholar. there are many reasons behind social anxiety most of which may arise from traumatic childhood event or other reasons too, each case has to be judged on its own and therapy helps a lot.

      @Jorjina.hayatt@Jorjina.hayatt2 жыл бұрын
    • I’m not asking him to go into any personal cases; of course you go to the psychologists themselves for this and YQ clearly says himself that he only answers generic questions. But I’m just asking the shaykh for the Islamic standpoint on social anxiety and for general advice to those who suffer from it. Yes psychology itself dives into the intricacies, but Islam still has an answer for everything to some extent because after all this is a trial from Allah ‘Azzawajal

  • The gender of a child can be explained in modern science. I forgot where I read the article but the reason it is accurate is that the liquid of the sperm has a different PH than the condition of the ovary. If I'm not mistaken, somehow the difference in PH affects which chromosome is created XX or XY (male or female).

Here is the hadith: Um Salama said, "Um Sulaim said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Allah does not refrain from saying the truth! Is it obligatory for a woman to take a bath after she gets nocturnal discharge?' He said, 'Yes, if she notices the water (i.e. discharge).' Um Salama smiled and said, 'Does a woman get discharge?' • Actually the hadith regarding the birth of male or female baby describes the facts in science. The hadith “ if the males semen overcomes female one” actually suggests that if “y” chromosome(which is the determinant of male sex and only present in male sperms) carrying sperm of male overcomes “x” chromosomes carrying sperms to fertilise female eggs containing only “x” chromosome the baby is born as a male baby. If this “y” chromosome fails to do so the “x” chromosome(which is the determinant of female sex) prevails and the baby is born as a female baby. I think this may explain the hadith more clearly.

  • About dominant and recessive chromosome, FYI our cells are not dominated only by mom's or duad's, rather some are dominated by mom's set of chromosomes others by dad's, so no monopoly here, but what Prophet pbuh said is Haq and will be Haq, may be our science is not matured enough to interpret. Subhanallah!! And we dont have to part our ways from science, rather we should be responsible when we speak or write and give up over zealousness, a Muslim by default should not be one, but we forget!!!

  • So what if the science is actually have't catch up to the ayat or hadits that clash with today's science yet? That's science is just a tool to measure the nature, but that tool isn't suffice yet to link the connections, with what the qur'an and hadits had said. You know that now is the era that people craze over fasting, when in Qur'an and hadits we're so familiar with it since the time of Rasulullah or even before that to the time of the previous prophets? I'm thinking that the Qur'an and hadits tells us about the final answer, the guidelines, while the how and the why will be proven by science, WHEN the 'tool' is sufficient enough to measure that truth. Because we know that science today is not final, and it's progressing each day. When scientists can't find the corellation it doesn't mean it's final, it could be like the next 10 or 20 or more years from now, what we knew from science today will change. So for me it is safer to follow the final answer (the Qur'an and hadits) instead of ignoring it until i know the how and why (the science behind what the Qur'an and hadits said). Sami'na wa atho'na. 😊

If the 'female' sperm (x) of the male dominates the 'race to the egg' and reaches the egg (x) first and the fertilized egg then becomes xx then the child develops to become a female. • Deja vus is purely a brain thing. It is explained when a part of the brain is stimulated somehow and it gives the feeling of familiarity that we have been somewhere before but in fact this can be artificially stimulated too (research has shown this). This does not mean that we have actually been somewhere ir met someone as it is a feeling caused by stimulation. I'm afraid I cannot explain psychologically how it happens however it fits within Islam as it is a brain reaction such as lovewhich can also be caused by stimulating parts of the brain.

  • The hadith is correct except the understanding of the way the discription of girl or boy is confused by the individual seeker to this knowledge. For example If the man's fuid overtakes the woman's fluid, it will be a boy. That = YX and XX is when the woman's fuid which by defult is determaning another creature of Allah be it Human or otherwise will be a girl, only when Allah chooses for it to be XX. In otherwords, the man's fluid can also have Xx. X or Y means dominant, like blue eyes like the mothers eyes and or dark hair like the fathers. x or y = less dominant. It could also mean character or resemblence, even emunity to certain environmental aspects of life such as sensitivity to pollen giving allergies, taste in things as heredatory and such. Or even interests and so on... So the Sahi Hadith's are correct. Its about understanding it. However Science will never catch-up to the knowledge revealed and embeded stably in the Qur'an. It might by chance only scratch the surface like chip off the old block but, Nah... nice try. XX = GIRL - XY = BOY, Xy = GIRL like DAD - xY = BOY like MUM. Capital means Gender, low case means Resemblences and interests and whatever else they'll have in common.

    • Salam No Name, I’m afraid your explanation is incorrect from modern genetics. As a base reference, Allah says in the Quran Surah Najm, in ayahs 45 & 46, that He created the male and female from a drop of sperm fluid. If I can explain from current scientific understanding: The women’s egg cell will have either the X-chromosome she inherited from her father or the X-chromosome she inherited from her mother. Each egg cell only has exactly half of the woman’s genetic material. Each of the man’s sperm cells also only have exactly half of his genes, including either the Y-chromosome from his father or the X-chromosome from his mother. If the man’s Y-chromosome sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be XY (X from Mom’s egg, Y from Dad’s sperm) and become a boy. If the man’s X-chromosome sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be XX (one X from Mom’s egg cell, one X from Dad’s sperm cell) and become a girl. We all get an X chromosome from our mothers. Whether we are male or female depends on whether we got a Y chromosome or an X chromosome from our fathers. The dominant and recessive genes are usually describing the autosomal genes on the other 22 pairs of chromosomes, not the XY sex chromosomes.

  • brother Yasir...the hadith relating to the the child being a Male or female is true due to the fact that the Y and X individual chromosomes is effected by the deference in tempreture...so both the even slight differences in temperature between the farther and mother during the time of intercourse will inshaallah have play on the possible gender of the child

    @kassimabdullah2748@kassimabdullah27482 жыл бұрын
    • This is the dumbest thing i ever heard. Why cant people choose to have which child they want? Because Allah decides that. There is no man or temperature that decides that. Dumb hadith. Written by a man.

    @aloha276@aloha2762 жыл бұрын
    • @Tahmid Alpha12 I get your point and i agree with you. My point is to minimize the chances of getting into sexual attractions, we all know that not everyone fear Allah and not everyone lower their gaze, so when a lady is out with a mahram the chances of getting into sexual attractions is lower than when she travels alone.

    • Salam Tammy, actually XX is generally always female (one X from Mom, one X from Dad) and XY is generally always male (one X from Mom and Y from Dad). There are XXY, XYY, XO, XY with inactive Y, etc. but these are considered abnormalities each occurring in 0.1% of the population or less. 99.9% of us are XY male or XX female.

  • Thank you Shaykh you for explaining about the soul being eternal. We have always lived, we are living now and we will continue to live after death (of the body). We hear about something happening for a thousand years in the next life.. it’s eternal living. What we do now & our actions here will determine where we ‘choose’ to live (Heaven or Hell) and how we will live (bliss or torment). It’s our chose. Let’s not get carried away on this life of no more than 100 years and forfeit our eternal abode of thousands and thousands of years with Allah. Allah is not unjust to men/women. HE only gives you equal measure of what you give. Men/Women do injustice to their soul with their own actions.

  • Thanks for the answers Sheikh and May Allah protect us against Shaytan. Looking at the X and Y chromosomes as well critically the other Hadith is also correct with science recent discovery that the Male determine the gender. Male has XY and Female has XX. This also confirms that the female is a part of the male with the XY, as our mother Hawa was a part of our father Adam. So, in generality we can say Female chromosome is X and Male is Y from a layman point of view not a geneticist. So when the X dominates after sex to give XX, then you have a female and when Y dominate after sex to give XY, you have male and that confirms the hadiths as well. Remember this was said 1400 years ago without any devices of science as we have today. That alone is a miracle enough for believing heart, and our greatest enemy may Allah protect us from IT, will always throw doubts in our hearts as IT promised it will fight US from all angles.

  • No a woman does not need a male ‘mahram’ to perform Haj given that one of its features is the x 7 run between Safa and Marwa in memory of the efforts of Hajar (mother of Nabi Ishmael) . She did that run without any male adult around and in fact insofar as we know raised Ishmael as a single parent. Mecca should be a safe place anyhow for women with safety officers appointed whenever and wherever necessary. There is no justification whatsoever for intrusion into a Qur’an- abiding female’s space that knows following Allah’s guidance Alone is Islam and not the dictates of a husband/man or other female. Allah(SWT)’s Own Statement says that any that engage in such intrusion, harassment, stalking, obstruction, undermining will only meet with His painful Punishment when it’s due. Be it during those peoples life , at death or both.

    • I agree with you about the x 7 runs between Safa and Marwa during Hajj was first performed by a woman on her own and that women should be able to perform Haj on their own or with other women, The truth on the ground is different. I heard some men sometimes invade women’s space. I haven’t been to Hajj yet (InshaAllah one day). So l can’t confirm or deny. I also heard that a woman past menopause does not need a Mahram to go for Haj. And Allah knows best.

      @livingrateful@livingrateful2 жыл бұрын
    • @@livingrateful It makes you wonder how the mahram concept became mandatory for Haj/Umrah, doesn't it ? You wonder why many people have stopped thinking rationally, in the face of hadith dogma. Its very possible that the purpose was to reduce potential harrassment of women by the local Arab/visiting men, even though security are deployed around the area and even though it is supposed to be a sanctified area and even though male muslims are expected to be respectful towards women at all times. There is no rationale related to menses whatsoever. During Umrah once, I recall being stopped by the 'mutawa' who just stepped in my path during a mild run, and shook his head and finger sternly at me and seemed to indicate that I could only run between the 2 green strip fluorescent lights hung from the ceiling at either end which was notably shorter than the whole length between the 2 entirely-paved-over hills. There were no instructions about this policy written or being announced about this from anyone and the lights were only visible if you cared to look upwards. I was puzzled initially and then thought 'but surely I'm meant to run!' as long as I'm not blocking anyone else path or in danger of touching or shoving anyone, as was NOT the case as it was not crowded then. I was also fully covered apart from my face! A little later, an Indian-looking lady caught my arm and actually said 'no you are not supposed to run!' and I had to laugh out of real surprise and ask her 'what else was Hajar doing when she was first here and why else do we commemorate her efforts !?' She had no answer for me. The whole concept and purpose of the exercise being is ,above all it is for believers to put their trust in Allah(SWT) Alone just as Hagar did and was called upon by Allah(SWT) to do so. She wasn't a rasul but certainly exercised and was afforded her right to direct divine communication.
