I mean YT Shorts are really only good if you're watching the shorts from people you already watch or you already have the algorithm tuned to your tastes. I reckon TikTok is kind of the same, but also even better for bumping into random content outside of your comfort zone.
Yeah, my YT shorts are mostly music, cooking, cosplayers being dorks and miniatures painting tutorials. No cursed content.

Reels have the best AND the worst videos. KZhead is the most generic to some degree but was relatively consistent. TikTok had some great ones, but also had some VERY controversial rabbit holes.
