When one kid comes out, you figure "ok, whatever. No big deal." When 2 of them come out you figure "Maybe it's US!"

So what can parents do to make sure their kids don’t become gay? That sounds hella crazy to begin with but at the same time understandable for some out there. Do you see the predicament parents are in? If you do things to make sure your kids don’t become gay, that is to say then that parents control what their kids are feeling inside of them. To a degree it’s true, but then what about the I was born gay argument? It then doesn’t really matter what parents do because if their kid was born gay, so be it. Nothing you can or did would effect that outcome. Just thinking out loud.

@@Kri8tivN8tivz having a gay daughter I completely understand. I fall into category 1, ok no big deal. The rest of my comment was meant as a joke. HOWEVER,there is something to be said for the nature vs nurture debate. If you start having child after child come out as gay, is it nature? Or is it something you're doing and possibly the child doesn't know any difference? As far as I'm concerned, love whoever you want to, just be true to yourself.

@@aliengranpa Why do humans always have to have a cause for everything. Maybe it was just chance. I can tell you as a psychologist that nature and thus genetics seem more important in becoming gay. Nurture would imply something "went wrong" in childhood that could somehow be reversed with something like conversion therapy. 2 gay children isn’t that unlikely if you think about it.

@@raecher3393 as a psychologist you should understand the nature vs nurture debate better than anyone. Are serial killers born evil? Yes, some of them. Are serial killers created by the environment they grew up in? Yes, some of them. That's not to compare being gay to a serial killer... like I said my daughter is gay and I couldn't be more proud of her as a person. These days the term "nurture" is considered "grooming". Can a child be "groomed into being gay? Absolutely, but that child is going to grow up miserable and have identity issues as an adult, because they weren't born that way. Just as a gay child being groomed to be straight would. Genetics always comes out on top, but environment also can be a contributing factor. ....and now my simple joke comment has turned into a Ted talk 🤮

My next question would be, "Who traumatized the both of you?" Because there is a strong correlation between homosexuality and those who were violated as children.

That's an interesting theory as a bisexual man myself but I'd say the abuse made me homophobic for years.

I’m sorry but have you ever been to Thailand. 70% of the population there are gay. In fact Asian’s main dietary supplement is soy based and there’s a strong correlation between soy causing a higher production of oestrogen in men. That’s your facts right there

Lol, yeah the countries with the highest populations are all gay. It's because of the soy. There is monolithic culture called "the Asian".
