Today we will test new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2016. Recently our subscribers are complaining that car producers are cheating them: just do some facelifting, exterior&interior changes, while the echnical performance is the same, shame on them! That’s why today for our test we have invited the previous 120 Prado, for you to understand if this fact is real.

    • I haven't found any video showing air suspension in use.Can you lift Prado and how high? Can it be driven so on offroad? No body made video about this suspension and where can it be used and what is the max speed at max. height?

    • I am thinking to buy a used prado but my concern is the air suspension. Is it durable?

      @ButchiRC@ButchiRC2 жыл бұрын
    • @@The_Touring_Jedi Very slow only, 0 to 20kph, and you only lift the rear about 1 to 1.5 inch. You can adjust the sensors too to make the rear have less sag (more lift), but you ruin the ride confort. More important than that is the difference between a kdss vs a non-kdss, kdss have way better articulation.

  • We have a 2007 Prado Grande with adjustable air suspension. It is even more comfortable than our other SUV:2008 Audi Q7 with air suspension. I have owned some nice vehicles over the years, would say the Prado Grande is THE most comfortable I have ever driven...part of this reason is the 60 profile tyres. Yes, it is "floaty" over the bumps...this can be adjusted to "sport" or between sport and comfortable to suit your preferance. Just done 200,000 klms on the odometer. I towed a very large ride on mower about 500klms and averaged 11.4 litres per hundred...very happy with that from the old 3.0 litre diesel. I also love the twin 90 litre tanks. We have decided never to sell this vehicle but to keep it in the family for when our kids need a vehicle...perfect for us in outback Australia.

  • Great content, i drive a 120 D4D myself and absolutely love it. But i've spot one issue - when you compare braking please use the same tires on both cars. Otherwise you compare tires not cars. Especially when they are so much different - Hakkapelitta are HT winter tires and Discoverers are AT or even MT. Greets from Poland

  • We are on our third Prado, having originally bought the 2002 6 cylinder petrol model. It was a good car and we loved it but the 2008 120 series 3 litre turbo diesel was a better car, for many reasons. First time we put the boat behind the turbo diesel, I kept checking the rear view mirror to check if the boat was still there lol. Due to an accident, the 08 had to be written off. We survived an accident that we probably wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for the superior engineering of the Prado. The Japanese Engineers) have done an great good with making the Prados. We now have a 2010 model and it is a great car, very happy with it. I am keeping this one for quite some time. If and when it needs to be replaced I think I might rebuild an older diesel Land Cruiser. The biggest shame is all the removal of a manual high low change and manual locking hubs. But that is technology for you. Treat them right and they will last.

  • I have the Grande 120 Prado diesel it has 180l fuel tank but the 150 only has 150l fuel tank capacity! For long distance driving, the 120 kills the 150 by far! With 120 I had traveled 2500km and still has more than 30l in reserve! Secondly, the new one is AUD$20,000 dollar more expensive! I believe I will wait for the next model because the 120 is still going strong!

Only thing that went wrong was the AFS but that was down to me damaging one of the Xenon bulbs.

    • 180L fuel tank?!😲😲 That's incredible! Well looks like the 250 will only have 80L or 90L tank because they now don't have the spare wheel on the back because of "design". Toyotas are getting worse with every new generation. It's sad.😞

  • Having driven Prado 120 and 150, my conclusion is that Prado 150 is an improvement of Prado 120 from many aspects. Prado 150 is more stable in highway, better driving experience, better driving position, more modern interior etc. Prado 120 is more plush but not as stable as Prado 150. While some people may have different taste on the design, beauty is in the eye of beholder.

It has KDSS system, better chassis(for on-road, and etc.), overall better dynamics, better interior, etc. I also love the 1st facelift 150 design with cheetah eyes, etc. Oh and they have better and more fuel efficient 6 speed transmission. And also dual vvti. Never mind, too many improvements of 150 over 120 to write in 1 comment :D
