    • Hi 👋. What is the difference between android and ios? I am thinking about switching to Apple, but every time I think about it,my mind tells me that I'm going to hate it. What do you miss the most from ios? What's your experience between the two? I given Samsung alot of my patience, but it running low lately. What do you think? Honest suggestions. Thanks

  • Great video. One small thing I'd like to point out. You can set a shortcut for your S23's flashlight directly on the lock screen. If you do so, you don't even have to unlock your phone in order to access the flashlight. It doesn't get more user-friendly than that.

ALSO, you can rearrange these quick settings icons by just holding and dragging so that flashlight appears in the shorter quick menu that you get with just one finger.

  • There are a few items for review that I would love to see tested and reported on. GPS stability and accuracy, speaker volume and clarity, telephone mode speaker volume and clarity, and antenna performance would all be valuable information to add to any cell phone review. GPS accuracy alone has made huge strides by using multiple satellite networks in recent years and I don't think any cell phones are taking advantage of that yet. Just something to put you further out in front of other reviewers.

Also, when in the quick settings menu you can either click on the icon or click on the words under the icon to get more detailed options. You can also change the system sounds to your liking as every sound wether notifications or app can have a different sound. Seems as if you dont have as much experience with samsung.

  • Top-notch production quality as always! Personally, I think it would be a good idea to split the camera category into two separate subcategories: video and photography. The iPhone always wins in the video category, but it falls short when it comes to photography. So it would have been 2 points in total for the camera, which has become the most important differentiator in modern smartphones anyway, with 1 point going to the iPhone and 1 to the Samsung. 3:55 It's actually the other way around. Each app is optimized differently for each phone (Android/iOS). Most often apps get polished more on iOS as the App Store genereates twice as much revenue as the Google Play Store.

S23's 3x lens is superior to that of the iPhone 14 Pro. And if you think the 10x lens is a gimmick, wait till you own one, you never know what you don't have until you get it.

  • Definitely recommend switching to the S23 Ultra. After using the S22 Ultra for the past year upgrading to the new flagship has been a breath of fresh air. I'm getting a half days extra battery life which is amazing and no longer have to top up around dinner time. Charging with the 45 watt charger is also twice as fast as the iPhone 14 Max which is huge. The phone is much faster across the board in the CPU, GPU and NPU while also being more efficient which allows it to run cooler. One of my favorite upgrades besides the crazy camera chops is the stereo speakers which are louder and actually have bass this year. Last years phone speakers were embarrassing. If you don't like being trapped in a walled garden and want to use USB-C for all of your electronics make the switch. The new Snapdragon Gen 2 chip for Galaxy is a beast!

You can also completely take off animations as well making a super high speed phone. I see these tests all the time but it's always under normal conditions. Developer Options truly opens up the phone allowing for a more better, comfortable usage

Samsung knocked it out of the park with the S23 Ultra for the first time ever (IMO). They always used to have some kind of big flaw (usually the battery, touchwiz), but this time they struck gold. Again, I'm not advocating for changing, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better moment than now.

  • Amazing video as always. I didnt switch as I've always owned both flag ship devices but right now I currently use my s23ultra as my main device and my 14pm just acts as a remote or extra baby monitor. Both are fantastic but the freedom of the samsung phone and the way you can customize it to make it work for you is just priceless. Samsung this year hit it out the park and for having to bake a ui over a stock one that actually imo is cleaner than even the google pixel. I prefer the samsung this year. I also mainly use windows desktop pc for my work and gaming and it connects flawless with the samsung even transferring files is native which is a big plus. I do have a Mac book as well and a tab s8 ultra. Mixing the ecp systems isn't as hard or complicated as people make it seem. I think you should make the switch. I do prefer the apple watch even though I like the galaxy watch 5 pro because it has insane almost 4 day battery life and faster charging but the apple watch ultra is pretty darn nice. Right now I'm rocking the apple watch 7 45mm stainless steel in graphite.

I put 500 down on my 14pm and paid 150 for a few months till it was paid off. It's all how you purchase and manage funds. I see people drop 100-200 bucks every weekend at bars and on frivolous things every week. I just know that I like tech so I purchase wisely and it's once or twice a year or every two years so it's not that large a purchase. I'm not stingy but I know how to save and get the things I like. Any one can do it. I dont recommend having 2 devices for most people but this is something I like and also like to review and give honest feedback on and im not paid to review tech. 🙃

BOTH Brands however do suffer with battery degrade after a couple of years or so - which is kind of inevitable. Although the curved screen on the Samsung felt vulnerable, compared to the flat screen of the iPhones, ive never had an issue with that-apart from screen protectors, which for curved screens are a nightmare. • There's a lot to like about Apple, but you missed quite a few things about the S23 Ultra. Like the Always on Display is completely customizable. It's silly to call it "stale" when you can make it whatever you want... including just like the iPhone. Then you must have forgotten the edge panel or back tap options you can program to turn on the light or go to a certain app. The thing with Samsung phones , especially with GoodLock, is that you can make them anyway you want. You could make it look and act like an iPhone if you want.

    • @Dale Graham Who are "you people"? We aren't trying to "mimic Apple" and besides, Android had Always On Display for several years before Apple even thought of it. The problem with most of these situations is that Apple comes in years later, copying an Android feature, and you all act as if Apple invented it. WTF? Geez, I can't wait until Apple invents multi-tasking, an on-screen finger print sensor and an built in/ Bluetooth stylus on a phone. Who knows? Maybe in a couple years they'll invent folding phones... My whole point, as I type this on my fucking MacBook, is that the stupid S23 Ultra and most Android phones have AOD that can be customized any way you want, including to look like the iPhone. Can you customize the AOD on an iPhone any way you want? Nope. At least you can't on mine. So which is more "stale", an AOD you can customize to your heart's desire or one that doesn't let you customize it?
