    • She knows she's competing against an equal, not to an adult who's trying to stroke her ego. When she wins a point she knows she earned it, and not because of an adult let her win. Kids at that age know when adults are being condescending and holding back. EDIT: Maybe the guy she's playing is much younger than I thought.
