Chris Hemsworth Takes Charge in a Prison Riot | Extraction 2 | Netflix Philippines
/ netflixph
Back from the brink of death, highly skilled commando Tyler Rake takes on another dangerous mission: saving the imprisoned family of a ruthless gangster.
I like how the woman isn't a total damsel in distress. She actually helps him fight too.
and at the same time isn't some overpowered mary sue that can 1 punch knockout violent male prisoners.
Yeah she sets him up a few times and gets a take down or too
Unlike *cough* Ashley *cough*
So true
@@Alpha1918 You say that as though Rake isn’t insanely OP himself.
This part of the 21 minute long take is one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen, like the amount of actors that had to be in there like that’s so well done
Facts
There are several hidden cuts throughout this scene.
@@ParatrooperNinja no shit sherlock
Definitely *NOT* one take! 😂 Many subtle edits are used to make it seem like one take. For example, watch closely at 2:42. This is how it's usually done (i.e. something crosses quickly in the foreground to take up the whole screen).
@@andrewnesbitt2523 umm it's obvious. And they even mentioned it on an interview.
Chris and Olga showed some great acting and fight choreography, but let's not forget about the actors playing the prisoners. You can sense a certain level of rage and aggression in them, and that really contributes to the chaos of the scene. In many action movies, the mooks aren't all that scary, but in this movie, they're actually dangerous. It feels like they're hardened and used to violence.
Olga what?
Almost like a scene from a game. Tyler is the player and Ketavan is one tough ass NPC.
Also Chris used Fire Punch! It was Super-Effective!
This scene reminds me to Resident Evil 4
The last dumbbell smash was sick! 😂👍
I believe that was personal lol
Dude gets to cancel his dentist appointment at least
That woman was brave, walking into a deathzone on command without flinching
I think she knew Tyler way before because year elder sister was Tyler wife. And she know if Tyler is with her then she will be safe even if hundreds of men are coming on to her. Hi ex special forces
That’s my grandma and mom. That’s every women outside the United States it’s hard out there. We come from Guatemala our women are like spartan women! Not this modern women 😂
It was that or wait in prison for god knows what.
@@guillermo5095mate i think think your knowledge about western women comes from binging andrew tate podcast I have seen white women here in mid west fighting flawlessly no latino can come close to them
@@guillermo5095it's amazing how you made it about this "Our woman are stronger than any other." Shit!
This scene alone is insane
Jesus, Hemsworth is a machine. I _WISH_ we got this kinda energy to Thor.
Thors more of a comic book movie for like teens, kids, and adults so it caters to the audience
You do realize that as a god of thunder he would be disgustingly overpowered compared to everybody else in the MCU if he'd let it all out. He would literally spread his arms and millions of lighting strikes would oneshot their assigned targets in matter of seconds if he would be who he is supposed to be. Those movies has to be 2h long :D
The first movie in 2011 was solid and 10/10
@@kristiandimnik7727I feel like a lot of people don’t give it the credit it deserves
The whole sequence was incredible 🔥 Starting with the prison break, then the car chase, then the train. Amazing camera work, Seamless editing, practical effects, everything on point 👌the whole action sequence was just breathtaking!
4:01 that dudes face just caves in. Great effects.
This feels like an homage to the prison yard scene in The Raid 2
Exactly. The mud fight is a masterpiece
Homage or rip-off? Not sure. This scene struggles with the constant shaky cam meant to cover up the fact that the stunt actors aren't connecting the hits.
@johnsoapmactavish9921 TBH shaky cams works in this scenario. In utter chaos environment like this is helps the scene more immersive.
@@johnsoapmactavish9921 Eh, I'd say this is more less-than-stable handheld than straight-up shaky cam. You can still tell what's going on, unlike you would if they were just shaking the camera around, especially in an obnoxious close-up. (Thankfully, they also decided to do a smooth, relatively seamless oner rather than just quick-cutting all over the place, too.)
The reason I love the extraction 1 and 2 is that without any cut the whole scene was done in one shot, think about how much effort has been put into rehearsal
Dude, it wasn’t all one shot. It was multiple shots stitched together to look like it was one shot. To do all this in literally one shot would be frankly impossible. It’s still incredibly cool though.
@@somanytakennamesYeah doing all this in one shot would be extremely difficult, its not impossible by any means, but it would be very tiring to repeat if there was a minor mistake on set.
There are several hidden cuts throughout the scene. Often when someone walks infront of the entire image like at 2:05 and 2:42 , or when there is a fast camera pan like at 3:31.
3:49 That kick to the nuts was LEGEND
The women is actually helping.. man, what a rare sight in film
hollywood movies are centered around US. This woman is georgian. Which is like day and night difference.
1:35 Man! That reload is so fukking fast!!
Literally gets a new mag and chambers before the empty mag hits the floor 😮
When your life depends on how fast you can get back in the fight milliseconds matter.
I watched this again for the flaming fist sequence. I love how they didn’t overdo it, that part lasted just as long as it needed to last. Sometimes they can overdo a cool thing and it becomes cringy.
Also helps that he doesnt get fire damage on his hits. He never spreads the flame, only douses
never thought i'd see chris hemsworth play john wick. AND the punisher. lmao
3:38 He turned into Tai Lung😂😂😂
More like Scorpion.
Movie was unbelievably badass
These movies are actually insanely underrated. This scene ranks right up there alongside action scenes outta the Raid 1 and 2. I love how both characters are contributing and doing everything to survive. The intensity makes you nervous, even though by all rights you know the movie isn't going to let them die at this point. But still, you get so caught up in it you forget and you're tense for them. This movie like I said is every bit as fun to watch as the Raid movies. Which is a credit to the actors, the choreographers, and the cinematography. Everything is just chef's kiss.
In a polluted sea full of bad movies that have “the message” written all over them, this one is a true hidden gem. I’ve never seen such a good action movie in a long long time. Thank you Chris Hemsworth, Sam Hargrave, Golshifteh Farahani, and everyone else that were involved in this movie for giving us something so refreshing.
He was the God of thunder, now he is god of war
Kratos: am I joke to you?
@@v.s.s.eagenthousekeeper63432:24 Any doubt
Tyler : welcome to fight club
That woman is a keeper,
Truly these action scene in the both movies are Chef's kiss! Chris delivered an Excellent performance & Joe made a brilliant Movie. More action movies are needed with such male role models.
I wish chris plays more action roles like this, he's the absolute chaos that's directly opposite of john wick's choreographed showmanship
Hemsworth is perfect as a mercenary
Siren ringing women shouting for help chaotic army and one man army Tyler GOAT action scene
I keep coming back to this. Definitely my favorite action scene to come out of last year.
Jaw-dropping
I like how when he punches them while his forearm is on fire it doesn't just automatically spread, it acts like actual fire.
best transition when Chris smacked by brick, can't even see the switching frame ...
Anybody else feel like this would be a good level in a video game?
The whole movie literally feels like Modern Warfare
See I like how the woman is while she isn’t just some random badass she also isn’t someone who can’t help themselves she try’s and she does fight even tho she has little to no training great job on the writers
Magandang gabi Netflix Philippines, sweet dreams at magandang umaga
I need to watch this movie that was one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen
Great movie 😮
ı love you netflixxxxxxxxxxx I'm glad I bought Netflix
Olga is the npc I wish I had in video games .. one that actually helps
Чем?😂
What an incredible action sequence... now I have to go watch this
The one takes in extraction feel like a video game sequence
Best scene ever
Thee best movie eeever made loved it❤❤❤
I watch this almost 25 times
can't wait for extraction 3
This scene is so badass
"BECOME FIRE PUNCH"
Wat
And this alone already make it better than the entirety of Thor: Love and Thunder!
This what we should’ve gotten with Thor!!!
Rake got nasty strength with those leg sweeps and front kicks lmao
Rake is like the beefed up version of John Wick with a purpose
That last guy definitely skipped leg day😂😂😂
3:30 Resident Evil 4 Leon and Ashley Ketevan: Tyler help🤣😂🤣🤣 Tyler okay 😐😐😰😰 3:42 Extraction 2 badass moment Fire Fist 😃👍😃👍
I’d like to think that Tyler’s moveset fits Chris more than Leon.
*Hemsworth is basically the live action Redfield* *His name is even Chris*
I was thinking about how this is like if Chris were sent instead of Leon to save Ashley, that would've been insane.
That's exactly what I thought when I was watching it 😂
@@rocketgroot4311I’ll one up you, Hemsworth is basically the live action Captain Price no doubt
jesus this is intense
Chris straight up looks like Captain Price from COD. He’d play him nicely in a Call of Duty movie. I would pay money to see it.
This movie is so fun to watch! Dope film
Captain price goes wild
bro this is ghost. Chris is like 6'3" lmaooo
GREAT movie. Better than Extraction 1.
Hell nah
1 is better then make 2
Each one has its own good points
Better than john weak
It's definitely a good and worthy follow-up but I still think 1 was tighter
This is awesome
Black Friday here we go !
I'm exhausted just watching that sequence
excellent scene, a John Wick level action sequence with even better hand to hand skills from Hemsworth. No one can beat Wick in gun sequences though 😉
This scene is copied from the Indonesian movie "Raid 2" but they made it 100x intense!
There is now a Chris Hemsworth level of badass--punching the shit out of your enemy with your arm on fire.
Chris Hemsworth as Thor 🤡 Chris Hemsworth as Tyler Rake 🗿
Nome do filme
This scene imediatelly remindo me The RAID 2 prision fight
goated movie already
Commitment, Fearless and Sacrification 🌹❤️🌹❤️🌹❤️
Fabulous blinds fighter Criss Hemsworth #Extraction2
This scene reminds me to Resident Evil 4, Tyler is like Leon because he has to fight with a lot of enemies to protect a blonde girl
¿Como sería una alianza entre Tyler Rake y John Wick?. Los dos acabarían fácilmente con la vida de múltiples enemigos.
amazing fight
Felicitări, esti minunat Chris ❤
Reminded me of The Raid big time, props to that
There are several moves in this scene that I haven't seen before.
there is an another Extraction movie? damn
One scene where Chris used the Dumbbell to 'take care' of that prisoner is just brutal
bro got dented
I wonder how would it actually look like after the impact
Little out of context however at 3:35 carrying on onwards would be a great example title "The lengths a father would go to save his child"
reminds me of resident evil 4
3:24
Against all odds, Odinson always prevails
loved this secne
The fire man
It's more than everything so why this movie 🎥 not seen in theatres
The Raid 2
According to director Sam Hargrave, the prison riot in The Raid 2 was a big inspiration for this scene.
I think so
The Raid 2 + Daredevil
Yeah. The mud prision fight is a masterpiece

I will really love a video-game

If I'm not wrong, the whole scene is taken in one long single shot. Is this actually technically possible? Or is it done with multiple shots and edited in the studio with VFX app to give a seamless single-scene look? Any idea from someone with experience?
yeah there's definitely editing, look at 1:38 and 2:00, all the chaos makes a lot of opportunities for frame wipes and hidden cuts, even if there isn't something that completely blocks out the screen there's probably some stitching together like at 2:04
You are wrong, courtyard scene has around 20 cuts made specifically to look like oneshot. I'm not "someone with experience" but I can search the internet
just a normal day at the arena of a british football game I see
Hidden cuts or not this is still insane how they filmed this
Warden: didn't get my insurance
This scene weirdly reminds me of RE4 where I have to save Ashley from a bunch of Ganados, only difference is the woman he's saving is actually helpful unlike Ashley who does nothing most of the time but screams "Leon!!"
this is objectively funny to me 'this guy already 30 of us, better keep charging him for no reason because we are mindless zombies'
Now imagine if he used these skill as Thor. He would have cleaned Wakanda before Wanda joined the fight.
The prisoner was doomed when Tyler picked up the dumbbell.
Holy shoot!
3:04 this hurt me.
Ritcher from Hotline Miami 2 be like:
Some of these scenes remind me of " The Punisher" which was full of brutal and realistic combat movements. When I I watch the movie especially in riot scene I literally felt goosebumps. Nice job! Netflix does better than other studios by showing bloody and gruesome setting rather than going on with accordance woke culture. ( by the way I'm not talking about LGBT shit but reality of fight scenes.)
