I'm subscribing to every Drift RC channel I come across because we all are doing something awesome! I just recently started posting YT Shorts of my drifting adventures and would love for you to join me! I'm going to build my very own track in my garage and will be posting videos on the progression of it. Looking forward to you joining me!

  • I have the Mst TR56 shocks and I have drilled the holes from 3 to 6.stock pistons have the extra holes premarked, I am using a Sakura D4. I had the yhea racing 55mm before mst and I can tell you it's night and day. From what I can see your rear doesn't give you forward "push" and it has sudden reactions due to not fast compression of the damper. Also using the stock oil 300 makes things worse. If you see my videos are all with the mst alloy tr56 and I am using 0 to 10 oil at the most. I and I think most of the people prefer a damper which has almost no resistance and adjust the behavior only by spring. Just my advice, nice video my friend!

    @SteliosRcdrift@SteliosRcdrift2 жыл бұрын
  • When you closed the shocks a mistake was made! Push downwards with your right hand the plastic top balljoint holder and the membrane while turning with the other hand the cap that fastens them together! That way you have significantly fewer possibilities for air inside the shock thus more consistent behavior of the vehicle! Also and air remover can help in this situation ! I am racing modified 10th scale so mistakes like that cost a lot !

  • I have a very very similar build to this, initially got the rtr 2.0 and went with a yokomo spd 02 servo, v4 gyro,acuvance agile 10.5, acuvance xavis esc and the same carbon chassis but i was worried about roasting the diff with the added power but have a really tame tune right now so i think i might be okay because i drive on slick indoor tracks not carpet so a lot less strain on everything

    @ryennino5470@ryennino54702 жыл бұрын
    • Sounds like you have a pretty epic build! I actually roasted my diff with my 13.5T no boost/turbo setup on smooth concrete. When I was building the kit, I thought it would fail, too. They even specify, in the manual, that you super glue part of the diff! I already have the spur gearbox on order, and can't wait to install it, just for a peace of mind.

I’ve had mine for probably 3 months now which isn’t crazy long but haven’t had any problems yet, but they make a ball diff kit for like $45 which would help and even sell a whole aluminum diff housing that comes with all the gears the ball diff and a few other things which is like a whole package kinda thing for like $175 but looks really worth it i might just pick that up

  • I have never touched or seen one of these drift cars in person. But the simple fact that are so pimped out - may need to get my hands on one of these to build up as a shelf queen... :) What would people recommend?

    @DESOUSAB@DESOUSAB2 жыл бұрын
    • Hey Bert! You may want to build one as a shelf queen, but once you drive one, you will want to build more of them! Honestly, after building this MST RMX, I love it, but I would have been better off with a Yokomo. I am about to replace my diff again, just so I don't fry it again during a drift session, and I feel I shouldn't need to do that, and the other upgrades that I had to do to bring up to be equal with a stock YD-2S.

      @turtlelaboratories@turtlelaboratories Жыл бұрын
  • Did you notice any leaks on your qutus shocks?wanted to upgrade my plastic yd2 shocks but the yokomo aluminum ones has been out of stock. Looking at the qutus shocks, it looks like a similar build and should be a good upgrade. But again the only reason I wanted to upgrade from plastic is it keeps leaking and I have to rebuild it every session.

    @Titan9@Titan9 Жыл бұрын
    • What you want is thin, cheap, grey, commercial carpet. If you go to your local hardware store, it will likely be the cheapest one. I got my carpet at a local discount store for even cheaper. The discount stores wont have endless rolls of it, though, and you will need to piece it together if you do a large track. for instance, my two pieces are 16' x 18'. Don't be upset with the venue for not wanting drift cars on the floors. The wheels are essentially sanding away at the floor, and with enough use, it could end up costing a lot to restore to the original finish. Carpet is a great way to setup a temporary track.

Kudos to you for making it work though. I had enough of a time making my FXX fast enough to hang with trains and just wanted a no fuss transmitter with plenty of features. • Leave the back bone ,it’ll flex too much at speed,and the plastic and carbon bases crack or break with out it,especially in an accident or trivial swing/sweep crack against something! If you want to break anything on the car it’s that back bone that breaks first saving everything else! It’s pretty integral to most higher,hobby grade RC street,track and drift cars.
