Now y’all can finally see that Lil Nas X really has the vocals. I always gotta fight people to prove that. He can sing and rap live. He’s clearly been working on his vocals, and he’s better than a lot of what’s out there.
For his voice type he's okay since there's barely any low voices in mainstream, however he didn't really sing a song that challenges his voice - so I don't see the point in defending him like he's some beyonce of vocals. Even in his recent concert in chile, he's still struggling to transition from note to note and projecting with power - if he didn't have playback some notes would be complete silence since they're basically a whisper. Songs like void, town of salem - he hasn't done at all as far as I've seen - and with a song like starwalking we need to hear it acoustically to see how good it would sound without playback which is meant to hide mistakes. Look, he at least tries and I respect that given that there are artists that don't even try - but to say "he's better than A LOT?" that's just bull and you're gonna attract hate if you just plain lie to cover for his faults. Let him improve and then defend him, for now it is what it is.
