I got a Canada PR from Australia and moved to Toronto in 2022. But soon enough I understood that life in Canada for immigrants is extremely hard and as an Indian immigrant I felt like I was getting into a survival mode of life which I hated.
I was going through a lot of self-doubt and that is when I realised that i did not like living in Canada. I questioned myself whether this is the life I wanted to live and imagined myself in.

So last month I decided that I will quit my full-time job in Toronto and take an exit from the corporate world because I kind of hated the monotony.

Then I decided that although getting PR in Canada was my dream for sure but the Canadian dream was dead. That's why I decided that I am leaving Toronto and leaving Canada altogether because this is the moment when I want to pursue my dreams of travelling full-time.
Full time travel was always my dream and I wanted to focus more on being a full-time content creator and majorly a full time KZheadr so I had to make the hard decision to either choose the comfortable life I was living in Toronto or find comfort in the challenges that come with travelling full time. And I chose the latter.
So yes, I took the crazy step to quit my job and travel the world full-time and I have no backup plan this time. This is it. This is where my story begins and you are going to be a part of this incredible journey which is going to unfold in pieces over the coming few weeks.
I don't know if it is a good or bad choice and whether I should have actually quit my job to simply spend money on travelling? Everything is uncertain. But one year later when I look back on this day, I am sure I will cherish this moment.

  • so with all that travelling, how will you maintain your PR residency obligations? in order for it renew after 5 years? All the best on your new endeavours.

    • Thanks! I have to stay for 2 years out 5 for renewal and I have already been here for 1.5 years. When the time comes, I’ll just need to come back and stay here for 6-8 months for renewal :)

  • You should have stayed one more year to secure your Canadian citizenship. This would have helped easy travel around the world. Canadian passport is very good for international travel. One of wife's niece left Canada before she secured the citizenship and now lost her PR and regrets it. Originally I thought you secured your PR to Australia. Wishing you all the luck in your new business adventure.

    • The city is not as it appears. Even a decent well paid professional like her is feeling the pinch. Moreover, the experience of living abroad is lost as u visit here. It’s become mini India here now. Every where crowded.

    • I really needed to get out for my mental health and this was the best decision I feel I could take right now for myself. I still have my PR and have been in the country for 1.5 years so if I want I can come back 2 years later and still renew it. I have kept my options open. Also, never know what the future holds right. And thank you so much! I really hope you keep watching my adventures still. I will keep posting all the honest & good things about all the places I go to haha

  • You will loose PR makes no sense going to South east Asia do you have immigration status there?

    • I won’t lose PR status just like that. I’ll still be paying taxes here and you have to stay in Canada for 2 years out of 5 to renew the PR card. I have already been here for 1.5. I am travelling on a tourist visa :)

  • Going to be full time youtube content creator -> Video have sound problem, voice is coming out from right ear piece only. Didnt even check the video before uploading. What a IRONY is this....

    • I checked on my end and had no audio issues. However, I’ll take a look at it. Thanks for flagging me. Also I am an aspiring content creator. This is a journey of learning and improving so having minor errors are part of the process :)
