the raiju is just one of those vehicles that feels different and is just fun to fly. fun to fight with or just to show off with or just cruise with. fastest in the game and a very well rounded jet. loved when i first bought it and flew around in stealth mode and i saw like 3 other jets also flying in stealth mode. if you have the money try it out it’s great.

Yeah, I have had a lot of fun flying in it too. Definitely a very good jet to fly in and, I love how even in VTOL mode, it is perfectly still, doesn't wobble, doesn't slowly go down, it just stays there and you can use this to just stalk people on the map by going way out into the sea, go in Stealth, and hover there. Used it to get a guy who was part of a group, went way out into sea, hovered, was in stealth, and stalked via the map and they guy i was mainly after wasn't in the heli I shot down, but the guys I accidentally killed commended me for playing smart and playing very well with the jet and using the best of its abilities and using it in new ways, because I feel like the Raiju is perfect for flanking enemies without having to be in a CEO and using Ghost Org. to flank the enemy. It is practically a jet you want to think outside the box with, use it in ways no other jet has been used. Use its Stealth Mode to get an advantage over your enemy by flanking them and popping out of stealth mode to get a hit possibly on them and going back in and flanking again and waiting for that moment to open. Or go way out of reach and just wait there, hovering, stalking the prey like a predator being patient with hunting its next target. Oh the Raiju is gonna be a whole new fun jet for me. And I wonder how the griefers are gonna change about this new jet.
AS far as i know the Hydra can still be faster but only with the speedglich. Or does the Raiju also have the speedglich?

The F-160 is actually based on at least three vehicles. The F-35 carrier variant, the F-22 Raptor and the YF-23 Black Widow which was a concept that lost out to the YF-22 which eventually became the F-22.

gta vehicles are a combination of things. For example, the Akko oat is based of the Tu-160 but also has a design similar to the B-1.
In reality it’s literally ONLY based on two aircraft. F-35B and YF-23 there are 0 aspects of this aircraft that are of the F-22.

the hydra takes too long to speed up, which the vtol does not, the hydra is very fast in normal mode, it is just too slow in acceleration

@@syntex3664 Raiju cannons are trash for attacking targets that are on the ground. and it doesn't get much better attacking planes either, you will hardly kill anyone, the enemies have plenty of time to get out of the plane before the raiju destroy it
@Arthur_ 072 finally someone who explained it, the hydra is faster than the raiju, just less acceleration.
In game files their missle stats are the exact same, so I believe the curve part is purely because hydra has them on its wingtips so one flies a lot close to target and with the curve appears closer
You should really cut the time in half since the raiju thing has both mussels shooting one and the hydra had 1 middle shooting one

The missile test TTK is the same on both because the raiju was hitting one insurgent with both missiles and got 12 seconds and the hydra was hitting two one with each missile and got 24 seconds

The Hydra VTOL may be faster, but the Raiju is capable of stopping in VTOL a lot faster than the Hydra, giving it better control. Also I'm surprised that despite the nerf on the explosive Cannons, the Hydra is still extremely powerful. Only catch is you actually need to aim now for it to be effective, rather than shoot it like it's a can of explosive pepper spray.
nah not really. If you hit a person 100% he just flies into the air but doesn't die. It's so useless now
That F-160 Raiju looks like it was meant to be implemented in another game that's how cool it looks. Given the updated interior it seems like it's going to be carried over into GTA 6.

The V-TOL is far more useful with the F-160 over the Hydra. Hydra takes a few seconds to stop momentum when switching between Forward Thrust and V-TOL, whereas the F-160 is much more stable and more controllable V-TOL mode that can be deployed to stop the aircraft in less than 1.50 seconds and can also use its weapons in this mode with more freedom of aim controllability. To top it all off, you have stealth capabilities and insane handling and speed to match the Laser. F-160 Raiju superior.
And much more maneuverable!!!
Basically means that the Hydra jus takes a bit more skill to use. But yea, I agree wit u

One thing I noticed about the Raiju is that when I was really high in the air, I jumped out of it, using my parachute, and the thing started spiraling down, but then I noticed on the map that it was still not blown up so I went to where it was and it was actually still there in tact, and the engine worked and everything I love this goofy ahh jet. Edit: Thanks for the likes never got this much before yeetis skadeetis.
One of my friends was using his and shot me in the tail, and I lost both ailerons, both elevators and one rudder.... so... I had no control, just like when a b11 loses its tail as well. I ejected at about 1500ft and watched mine slam into the ground.... only for it not to explode. So, I just sent it back to storage and called a new one. Nice little time save rather than calling MMI

I wish they could make the RAIJU more like... u know, a next gen fighters, longer range missiles, and more difficult to get away with like the missile Delorean had, counter functions, flares, anti-missile lock on, and more weapon choice, I mean, you can see there's two giant bomb inside the belly when you switch to attack mode, I though we could drop a high poundage bomb or even some new weapon like guided bomb or something like that, turn out it's just a decoration, so the RAIJU is now basically just a faster hydra but with stealth mode, it's still fun though but it could be better.
The bombs is the only other thing it needs, its always quite powerful enough with its stealth and good agility

@@iluvpoverty It depends on the context, because Hydra is faster in terms of top speed. But, it loses brutally in acceleration. If you put Hydra and Raiju to race in a straight line, at some point Hydra will pass him, it's a matter of time.
Raiju already has stealth mode, you're asking for more buffs which make the plane very OP bro
Hydra may faster in VTOL mode, but it's a disadvantage to it. I missed so many times targets or my planned landing zone because it's speed, while Raiju stop where I want.

Trust me I get it. The VTOL mode for the hydra is VERY steep. But if you practice enough, you could be going unbelievably fast and still stop on a dime if you use the VTOL controls correctly. Although it took me hours to master lol
The Raiju is now the fastest vehicle in the game, beating the Pyro by 17kmph

@ITS JONAS every aircraft has a first time bonus. That's a bonus achieved when loading up gta for the first time after fully closing it, you first session and manually getting it out of your hangar, not calling it in. All aircraft with this method have a speed and armour boost in their code... It just so happens that flying the ultralight above 1000ft in this state makes it the fastest aircraft in the entire game, so long as it doesn't get destroyed.
@@temaboom23 only with the first time bonus. We don't consider having to reload your game every time to fly an ultralight that fast as practical....
The Hydra's machineguns in Online is same with Raiju's machineguns, but in SP, it's not nerfed, so destroying ground targets in Online with Hydra is harder than before, but still possible.

Even with the advent of the Raiju, I don't believe the Hydra has been rendered useless. Raiju is better for air to air combat against other jets but I believe how it's VTOL works and the layout of the canons, the Hydra is a viable option as a choice in certain missions for example if you do air freight, Hydra is still a good choice despite the cannon nerf for escorting the Titan, in certain headhunters it is the better jet for getting the guy hiding in the shed in the country or car park in the city. Two other missions I found the Hydra to be good option for are the Duggan shipments for Casino and the Buzzard prep for Cayo Perico. I would say the Raiju creeps more into the Lazer's mission profile than the Hydra.
I agree the f 160 is better in most ways but the hydra still has its place
Hydra have better cannon and top speed with glitch.
I think overall the plane is worth it especially if you do the missions to get in cheaper but I will say the cannons need to be just a little bit stronger and then it will be perfect

Literally no point of buying anything else if the Raiju has -stealth capabilities -speed (fastest plane in the game currently) -high maneuverability -explosive cannons -missiles -countermeasures -bombs -vtol capabilities That’s WAY too powerful

I hoped more of the f160 bc i miss the 1. Flares 2. faster and longer range missiles bc i outrun my own missiles at horizontal angle on high adittude 3. agility bc i can't move like u would irl ik they hava to balance the jet but it would be way more fun if it had the irl specs

We need a two seater jet,when it’s just one person the pilot controls the cannons and missions but when it’s two people the co-pilot controls the missions and cannons I think that would be fun

Ah yes the combat chauffeur, thats fucking dumb, Pilot has Cannons and missiles, while co pilot has player controlled missiles like from arena war and Kosatka
Completely useless, why would fixed cannons be controlled by a copilot? Missiles is just pressing leftclick. In reality most systems are also optimized for one pilot.

Just saw one for the first time last night. Some random CEO forced me to drive them around in a pickup with a gun on it, and this other random CEO was flying around in that thing shooting down the helicopters that were following us. It was pretty fun.
The new one is slower in the hover mode, but that's actually a good thing because Hydra is so hard and akward to control in hover mode. And the new one is just a gem

If you think about it this way it's like the lazer and the Hydra gave birth to the Raiju So it's overall better than the lazer and better than the Hydra I didn't hesitate to buy it The Raiju It's faster It can lift off in matter of seconds It can stop in mid-air as soon as you switch to VTOL mode It has explosive machine guns It's more bullet resistant and explosive resistant which will last longer if you are doing a intense mission
Agreed, the Raiju is better in every single way. Also, anyone who says the Raiju isn't better in dogfights than the lazer or hydra needs to learn how to properly fly it. If utilised properly, the only aircraft that poses a threat is the B-11.
@@aiden_heafield5892 Don't get me wrong The Hydra still holds a special place in my heart and I still use it only when I am doing simple missions that doesn't involve a lot of enemies shooting at me because it wouldn't last less than 5 minutes due to asshole rockstar north purposely made the hydra extremely weak The Lazer is the same way unlike the Raiju is simply the ultimate fighter jet But you're right about one thing only the B-11 strike Force poses a serious threat And I love using it in most public missions However the Raiju has become my ultimate air vehicle for everything lol And of course some people hate the Raiju because some people are still sentimentally attached to the Lazer and the Hydra 🤦♂️

I miss the P-11 Laser because of the memories I've had with it and it looks better in my opinion. I know you can find it in the military, but I needed it in my hangar

it is so annoying how the raiju gun does pretty much zero damage to people on ground. Maybe the lazer gun was to op. But the Raiju gun is useless. You hit and the person just gets knocked over but has like almost full life.

Curious do you plan to compare the Raiju to the F-35B or no? I would love to see that one in the future. SkylineGTRFreak has done a F-35B mod along with the F-35A & C versions I would love to see a comparison with all 3 F-35 variants against the Raiju.
I'm not sure how your other videos are. But I feel like there's some things you don't need to test. Like the seat capacity. It tells you that on the website. And the pole test because yes, some planes/jets do take off a wing, but you'll die in the game regardless. You can jump out if you're quick enough. It's just common sense. Hovermode didn't need to be shown on which hover mode was cooler. BUT I appreciate showing us the review I left a like on your video
Literally all like this. It's not a real test, it's more of a "testing the new Gta 5(actually 6 but spoilers) at 3 am, among us called, gone crazy gone sexual" in all caps with an open mouth face in the thumbnail
AS an experienced Player you will See some mistakes right? I mean i really Miss an agility Test and also both Planes have the exact Same damageoutput but he Shot the vehicles in different spots so one gained more damage. Its shown that they Take multiple rockets but usually the First Rocket will kill your controls and only If youre lucky or pretty experienced you May still win the Fight.

F-160 is based off of 2 vehicles only 1:F-35B (obviously) 2:YF-23(tail section)

@@syntex3664 my guy now 💀 the F-22 has an entire bubble canopy. This has the exact same nose,canopy and over body of the F-35 just look at pictures if you’re having trouble. The tail is based off of the YF-23.

I'd want to see the explosive MGs ranges side by side (+ the p996 lazer) and the top speed comparison with the hydras speed glitch (vtol - tilt forwards - w key, tilt backwards - s key, repeat, this made the hydra the fastest jet in the game, + lazer ofc) you should make a separate video comparing all three of the jets after the balance changes :)
I have not bought the F160 but based on the videos I've watched on it I'd probably end up using the Hyrda more often for business grinding. It's maneuverability in VTOL mode makes it a really nice choice for taking less damage when engaging in close combat. That being said, I'm biased when it comes to the Hydra because I've used it so much and have essentially mastered controlling it in VTOL mode

Raiju also has stealth mode and better control and speed than the hydra besides in vtol mode. Raiju can also use vtol mode upside down

Since the update, my hydra can’t leave VTOL mode, like I try to switch it out it just doesn’t work?
If you jump out of a Raiju above 1700ft, it won't explode when it hits the ground.... This is because it doesn't hit the ground, it phases straight through. This is apparent when it faces a completely different way than the way it was going, even if going in a straight line... Also, I just saw it happen finally. It goes straight through, then respawns on the surface.

Honestly I think the Raiju is actually a pretty good upgrade and that for a fair price. It's really good, a big improvement but still balanced and just very fun to fly
While most of the Raiju’s design comes from the F35B, the tail design most likely is based off of the YF-23 Black Widow, the contender to the F-22 back when the USAF needed a new stealth fighter.

the raiju is really fun to fly and good for dogfighting, but if you land too hard your landing gear goes flying off. Trust me. You don’t want that to happen. It went flying off and hit my friend in a hydra directly behind me and knocked him off course making him fly into a hangar

The meme cannons were bound to get needed one day, in any other game they would have diseappeared instantly but you know : Rockstar. Also it seems it has the same cannons as the hydra/lazer so it likely means it would have been the same meme cannons had they not been nerfed. Now if you really wanna get into it I can tell you that even if it had the current cannons and the hydra/lazer still had their meme cannons it would still be viable since it is as maneuverable as a lazer (so more than a hydra), it can also disengage very quickly due to its speed and acceleration but all this combined with the stealth mode that is OP as hell you already have a really good and even somewhat superior alternative (well maybe not for the trash thermal jet noobs but in the hands of a good/decent pilot it is better) all this and I didn't include the crazy maneuvers you can do thanks to the VTOL thus allowing you to beat the likes of a B-11 or a Pyro

My raiju survived 8000 feet drop ( i did the freefall challenge thats why i dropped it 8000 feet) i were able to return it when it hit down 😂

For anyone wondering it’s a mix between the F35 lighting II, the F22 raptor, and whatever monstrosity plane has those ailerons. The f22 in the front, the F22 and F35 in the middle(or wings) and again, whatever behemoth has those ailerons

More like F-35 and YF-23. Entire airframe is basically Lightning II, ruddervators are angled similar to Black Widow and aerodynamic surfaces are made up, most possibly by Rockstar artists

It doesn't last forever, but I did somehow managed to fly the Raiju upside down in VTOL mode. But, as cool as that is, it's not much.

If you're aggressive with the roll control, and hold the throttle down and roll left or right, you can do a barrel roll with enough height. Uses about 300ft or so be careful lol
you can also do the cobra maneuver with raiju by stopping boosting and instantly pulling up turning left or right and switching to vtol

I prefer the f160 for its stats but the hydra has been my gta work horse its never failed me and it holds a place i my heart and still gets used as a back up in case the 160 falls in combat

i love how the hydra pointed down when falling, but the raiju just fell horizontally
range wise, if u lock on a target and that target flies away, does it have longer range?
The hydra has the speedglitch with vtol while on the ground while the raiju has a vtol glitch that allows it to hover upsidown
The thing is that by the time it takes to achieve altitude and top speed the raiju has already gained a significant head start. I'm certain that the raiju could beat the Hydra in a race from the ground at LS docks to landing at paleto bay.
I wish the new one had the same gun as the hydra woulda been a real selling point for me, that cannon is so op

Would disagree on Raiju having worse homing missiles. The Hydra's left missile launcher was further from the target and the right one was closer. Only reason the Hydra got closer to a hit with its right missile launcher.

Idk why but i like the Lazer Jet more it's pretty op i like also the Raiju 160 F-35 Fighter Jet but only because of stealth mode invincible on radar
Only down grade is that the Raiju has the explosive minigun like the b-11 does while the hydra, lazer and savage still have the actual canons and yes there us a difference between the canons and the explosive machine guns. The canons are much stronger than the explosive machine guns l, otherwise over all the Raiju is fun to use

Are the missiles slightly more accurate in the F-35 (F-160 Raiju, idc i call them by the real model) or is it just me? I’ve had this thing for a few min and am slightly impressed by the Fire-and-forget type aspect of them. I shoot a pair of rockets, get into ghost mode, and dip and my jaw drops when those crappy things hit their mark Especially on a moving player, not a drill target. Also kinda sad that the mechanics on this new jet won’t let you do the Hydra Glitch with VTOL😂
