Four excellent performances from the Night of the Proms in Germany in 2001. A relatively performance of High on Emotion with the orchestra and the only performance of Don't Pay the Ferryman with orchestra in existence I believe. Track List -

    • i think i was 12 too, the munich concerts were his first i got into, on VHS , still watch that concert regular on youtube , one of the best voices of our time

  • Sorry Rob, 2009 the BBC had a proms concert at Salford, Manchester. It was broadcast on the "Red Button" and he was backed by the BBC Phil Orchestra as well as his band. Tracks included all these and few more, "Missing You" springs to mind. Great to stumble on this, I could listen to him for hours. Two tracks introduced me to his music and storytelling, listening to "Spaceman" and then hearing the whole of "Crusader" being broadcast on Radio Veronica. I've never stopped listening to him since..
