  • There's no reason to go back to Mars. It was destroyed in the great battle that happened so long ago. Yes you will find relics but that's all. It will remain a Dead planet as the Bible speaks of. STARFIRE CHOSEN ONE 🌟🔥😇

  • Not to mention that the entire surface of Mars contains deadly toxic levels of perchlorates. Musks rockets are for use against us, here on the earth.

  • I’m still missing the point of the whole colonization process of Mars. It would be very important to know if the planet still has a molten core that rotates and contains a lot of iron and other materials that hold magnetic percussive properties. If that isn’t the case then there is no way that a newly created atmosphere would be viable to sustain the oxygen within. And on their terms thickening the ozone layer by continually increasing the chemical reaction of oxygen with UV radiation. No magnetic field is eminent on a planet without a hot liquid internal mass with lots of molten rock and iron. The sun will just keep on stripping away layers of carefully useful material that can absorb the bad particles that are coming from the sun eventually, if conditions are correct.

    • I keep bringing this up. Why go through all the trouble of terraforming an atmosphere that can be blown away. Any Martian civilization would have to be indoor or underground. In that case, any planet or moon with similar gravity would work just as well.

    • Because it ain't gonna happen. We r a carbon based species. We need photosynthesis. Mars has no photo syn.

  • Except increased solar activity has to effect on earth’s temperature according to climate alarmists. And no, our magnetic field doesn’t completely protect us.

    • The Sun's energy output fluctuates in an 11-year cycle. During periods of high activity, the Earth receives slightly more energy. This can have a small warming effect, but it's dwarfed by the impact of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide.

    @tomwhite9034@tomwhite903420 күн бұрын
    • It's kinda already neither of those things. Terraforming simply isn't going to happen either, at least not in this century. Best bet for Mars is probably lava tubes and semi-subterranean living spaces reinforced on top with ice or regolith. The lava tubes though could potentially be pressurized and oxygenated, with sufficient protection from radiation and exposure to the perchlorate found in Martian regolith.

    • @tomwhite9034 Oh that would be dope af. Otherwise yea, Phobos and Deimos are way too small for what would be needed. Suppose you could do something similar to the orbital capture idea for asteroid mining, but that'd require a literal moon-sized asteroid lol. Plausible if asteroid moving is being done at all, but gonna need a massive Oversized Load banner.
