The way african lyrics sometimes describe love and dedication is so damn unique. It’s not like playing around with some hoes. It’s the way that a woman gets appreciated for who she is and what she gives.
❤❤❤
You're african right😂
Right!!!
Right, I was telling my friend how I prefer African Music cause their men don't rap about having a throat baby.
Regardless our age, if our catches us disrespecting especially women, it doesn't matter where we are. We're getting slapped, hell our whole community and tribe will descend on us heavily. They respect us, and in return, we protect their image. You'll hardly listen to an African (especially west African song) degrading our women

His style of singing sounds like a derivative of Nigerian Fuji and Apala singing. Also genres full of men singing in falsetto, its a very unique style of singing and apart from afrobeats (who most likely were inspired by), I have heard nothing even vaguely similar.
@@theoriginalduotribal you have an interesting take. I often listen to Qdot and I went back and listened to “Apala New Skool” and some old Apala songs. It’s basic pattern is a back and forth between a lead vocal(ist) and his “follower” responding in harmony. For every bar of lyrics, it starts with the vocalist and then a retort by the followers in unison. I didn’t notice a falsetto per say; maybe a few Apala singers sing that harmonic retort in a lower voice register, but not to the level of a falsetto. Maybe the frequency of the back and forth between the harmonic chorus (Kulosa) and Oxlade singing reminds you of Apala. In general, call-response pattern of singing is found across many sub-Saharan cultures, but Apala is quite interesting because the entire songs seem to be just call-response from the beginning to the end. Can you drop examples of Apala I can checkout?

@@rcook2608 he, like the rest of us, isn't here to be perfect. Perfection is unobtainable.
