The dress looked great on the red carpet, but up-close when you can see all of the detailing and craftsmanship it's absolutely stunning. Cardi really pulled it off, the cut of the dress along with her up-do gives it that Gilded Age look.

We all know that every single person that works for Versace is amazing, but when you see such gorgeous, unique pieces like this, it really helps make it sink in just how amazing Versace employees are (& of course, Versace as a whole). Actually without her realizing it, she definitely fulfilled the theme bc the Gilded Age was about gaudy excess, opulence, and extravagance. Even her silhouette was reminiscent of the fashion towards the end of the era, which removed the bustles and poufy sleeves. Marie Antoinette belonged to the Rococo Era which was a completely different era that existed a century before the Gilded Age. After Rococo came Neoclassicism, these 2 eras often get confused with the Gilded Age and idk why, their fashion is completely different.
