    • I bought the purple one recently and after putting the phone case, i realized the camera glass looks black most of the time (i was disappointed about that, bc i reeeally wanted it to be super purple) but the rest of the phone looks like a dark grey, kinda purple ish.

  • My current iPhone is an 8 Plus and while it is scratched and battered, the camera lenses are absolutely impeccable, not a scratch on them, because it's sapphire glass and it's incredibly durable. I think they still use that glass for newer models. Putting that cover on the lens won't really do much to help the durability and it will actually decrease the quality of your photos. Imagine a fancy DSLR with a great camera lens, and taking all of your photos though a piece of plastic or plain glass.

    • @Abstract is correct it's not Sapphire "glass"; It's different material blend with the majority being sapphire crystals, but I think you're comment is still valid because the durability is so good on the lenses it render a protection housing useless and as mentioned deteriorate the image quality, such as image fogging up, auto focus doesn't work correctly, I didn't use a protection housing for my 5+ year iPhone X and whilst the other parts of the phone got chipped away the lenses are crystal clear (pun intended).

    • The matter of the fact that it is sapphire which mean it has a 9 on the Mohs scale so anything typical on a table or in ur pocket can't scratch them like a key. A matter of fact a iphone camera can scratch the screen of a iphone because the iphone front screen glass has a 6 in the Mohs scale. So I wouldn't worry about my cameras that's just me tho.

    • well I don't think it would affect picture quality cause as far as I saw, the lens cover did not sit directly upon the lenses, so there is no "plastic layer above the camera lens", it basically just evened out the camera module

    • @@hyp3meister270 could do that….but it’s called trade in. I’m not spending 1K every time I upgrade. The longer you take to upgrade the less the value of your phone is. So I can trade it in when my phone is worth only 200 and pay the difference when I upgrade again of 800-900 bucks or trade in my current phone and pay difference of 300. But most importantly, because it’s my money and I can. That’s why.

    • Kinda in the same boat. I had the black XR, first iPhone I ever had and just upgraded to the 14 pro max and I love it. I didn’t trade my XR tho lol I’m keeping it just in case I need a backup. I had it for 5 years and no issues.. but just wanted a upgrade.

    • It is very I had the 12 pro max and a 13 mini ( 13 mini for work) but I loved the 13 mini so much I sold my 12 pro max and kept the mini then I was gunna buy the 14 pro max but honestly feels a lot like the 12 pro max i had years ago so I cancelled

  • Wrist strap for your phone. Fantastic idea. I got my phone snatched from out of my hands while on the tram in Melbourne, Australia. If I had a strap not only would it have stopped me from dropping my phone but it would also have prevented a snatch, grab and run. The wrist strap on my camera has saved it numerous times. Life rule from high school media, use the camera strap, even put it around your wrist so you don't drop the camera. I nearly lost my Kodak Easy Share C340 in Barcelona out the front of the Sangrada Familia, it dropped but was caught by the strap, my heart pounded and I became light headed...nearly. Use the strap.

    • @@bluecali4na yea I feel it’s the better value, in getting the 14 pro you’re paying hundreds of dollars extra for a few new features, some of which actually hurts the 14 pro slightly, when it goes on sale next year I’ll get it, I think I like the idea of going with the previous year’s model as upgrade options, I don’t mind being a year behind

    • I have a 13 pro and I still think this is Apple’s best iPhone. Battery life is superb and the cameras are beautiful. I’ll probably hold on to this for a while although the 14s are gorgeous!

  • Never go for the tempered camera lens,it would ruin everything. In a accidental fall…it would pass the impact to the entire back panel and could get even worse. Lens quality of the camera itself is phenomenal. But if you are still concerned of it, you can go for camera ring protectors which gets the job done but quality of the picture gets compromised

  • I was having a hard time choosing between deep purple and space black but I still chose space black anyways and my cousin chose the deep purple. Hers came first and mine was a little bit late but it still came tho. I'm glad I chose the space black cause the deep purple isn't attracting me that much!XD. Btw love your video!

  • I have a 13 Pro and I found that the camera lens protector messed with the focusing of the camera and I ended up taking it off because of that. I also haven't been using a screen protector for the last couple months and so far it's going okay LMAO

  • At first i regretted getting the black since some of my relatives said I should've gotten the deep purple and obviously I was having 2nd thoughts.   • *Very nice iPhone. I’m lucky and fortunate that I get the IPhone 14 Pro in Deep Purple. Because other IPhones 11, 12 and 13 Pros doesn’t come in Deep Purple. Silver, Black and Gold is too common already and all series looks similar with that colour. People will immediately notice that I’m using iPhone 14 Pro because of Deep Purple colour*
