Xiaomi HyperOS Review: Top 7 New Features You Must Know!
Hi everyone, in this video, I have reviewed Xiaomi's latest Hyper OS which will power all Xiaomi devices going forward. Right now, it is available only in a couple of devices, but later this year, a lot of older phones as well as the upcoming ones will get Hyper OS.
Hyper OS is a new operating system with a combination of an advanced Android base and Xiaomi’s self-developed IoT platform - Vela that aims to provide support for a wide range of smart devices, including smartwatches, speakers, home appliances, etc. Find out more about Hyper OS as well as what's changes from MIUI in this video :)

Doesn't matter who says whatever about Xiaomi. But HyperOS is way more smoother than MIUI 14. And alot improved than it's rivals

@@akilbarboni4198 I haven't got it. I had visited their official website about HyperOS and watched alot in KZhead. The optimization is stable. You need to watch it too
Don't talk early, let's see in the future updates if it is still smooth. MIUi before is smooth but in recent updates it becomes buggy

@@akilbarboni4198 Poco f5 got the update in Europe region , if you want to try , you can unlock bootloader of your device and flash European rom in your phone .
Iphones are very popular in China So..the Chinese companies have to make their UI similar to Iphones inorder to sell them

More than popularity is slickness. iPhone has a tight grip on the elegance market. You buy an Iphone for status, not for the phone itself, so it's understandable for companies to try and recreate that look.
@@gyre253Google Pixel 7/8 Pro are pretty much the best out there atm imo. Insane cameras. I don't need anything fancy though, I think flagship phones have hit a ceiling whered there's less and less to improve on, giving mid-range phones a lot more space to improve, which is why I settled for the Xiaomi Poco X6 Pro. Has everything I need. Unless you're constantly taking pics every day then i don't think there's any need for a flagship.
@@gyre253Google pixel is extremely good. It has way less restrictions than xiaomi :) Xiaomi OSes are extremely frustrating to use and I have to deal with the fact that XIAOMI has the worst background process killer. Yes, you should get a pixel! It's stable and doesn't slow down older phones purposely when you update
Good review, but it seems to me formal modifications that do not rise to the level of giving it a name of its own, I was hoping to improve performance and make the system more compatible with hardware
I'm in two minds. There's giving you more control over your phone and there's adding more features that are sometimes pointless. An example is MiUi have several separate settings to silence the phone, which basically complicates things and stops the facility working properly.
Yup this is now my switching to Android story. All Apple's feature are available on Android now, love how they quickly catching up now! Will be getting a xiaomi device soon!

Oxygen OS/colorOs/RealmeUI are completely same Oxygen OS doesn't have ads or bloatware useless apps Oxygen OS 3 years ago was on stock android But after android 12 they switched to colorOs Because Notification panel after android 12 was terrible That's why OnePlus switched Realme OS was most optimised on Android 10 and 12 But after android 13 everything went to waste Android 11 was also trash ram management issues and performance issues Android 10 is last best android ever

Calling it inspiration is correct! Because Android was always way ahead of Apple when it came to customization! Its better to call it as both of them taking ideas and tweaking it instead of calling it copying, great video review!

What I suggest is to COPY everything from iOS and maybe even some other OS and bring us the best . Companies should copy one another and make tech better for us . Because all of em wants to take our money no matter what

There is not much UI changes much . But there is lot of under the hood changes . I can feel hyperOs is lot smoother and battery efficient .. atleast for Xiaomi 13 pro

A day ago i installed this HyperOS with a bit of confusion for experience degradation as often happens with Xiaomi updates, but proving me wrong it's a whole another level of experience I have ever felt from any Xiaomi device! My 11T PRO now gives me ULTRA PRO MAX level of Experiences!❤

Miui is 5 GB - hyper os is 1.9 gb .. thats 60% less craps .. Battery Efficiency has increased
Hyper OS removed the [Video Tool Box- Background play.] 😞 Was very useful for listening KZhead Podcast, songs, etc. in MIUI.

HyperOS 2.0 needs to "get inspired" by OneUI or OxygenOS especially the quick settings & notification panel/shade, also xiaomi pls stop force closing apps in the background it defeats the purpose of 6gb & more ram
Thought it was just my phone. I hate that because I like to leave my TV guide app open.
turn off battery optimization for desired apps and you will be fine.

Hyper OS has so many bugs it's unbelievable. I have never had a device so buggy until I've installed Hyper OS. I really hope they fix some of these issues. I have Poco F5

That will never happen, I will never buy xiaomi again. My battery is destroyed after the update😢
You can deinstall it and go back to miui, so dont cry about nothing. The thing is you will lose all your data so you need to copy important staff... How to do it...turn off the phone...press volume up and turn on button together, hold untill the screen shows MI, then let all buttons ...you have the menu then...anyway they are videos on youtube ,how to deinstall hyper Os or Downgrade as they say...cheers ..

I love the featuresof hyperos but i do miss some of the features of miui 14 mostly the control center is more cluttered now that everything in one screen also miss the listen with screen off feature in video tool box other than that its great over-all

How can I change my control panel music player to for example youtube music? I dont use the mi stuff and I think it would be more comftrable to have yt music on the control panel rather then the default mi one.
It's already released for Xiaomi 12 Lite. Very smooth and even more polished UI than MIUI 14.

I already updated my Note 12 yesterday (here in the Philippines, global ROM). About the locksreen, why I don't have a magazine option?
The biggest feature is that it's based of stock AOSP, so it bypasses all the Google crap baked into Android that's distributed to OEMs, and that it's fresh so it doesn't have all the bloated code that MIUI has accumulated over the last dozen years.
They still use Miui code inside 😂

*Bugs encountered in Poco F5 after Hyper OS update:* 1. Proximity sensor malfunction during calls (screen turns on unintentionally) 2. Lock screen clock malfunction 3. Call recording issues (incomplete/corrupted recordings) 4. Power button inconsistency (unresponsive) 5. Second space lag 6. Unstable 5G connection Hopefully Xiaomi releases a software update to fix these issues soon!
My redmi note 13 pro plus has battery drainage issue.....some people complained the issue remained even after updating to hyper os....a youtuber from Bangladesh said he contacted xiaomi official showroom where they said that battery drain issue will be fixed in another update after hyper os....but he provided no other answer regarding the battery drain issue and no video on youtube shows how to properly fix the battery drain problem

As a Xiaomi user, I'm also sitting back, because I'm waiting for the HyperOS to come to my Redmi. My verdict: 1. Same as in the vid, I can't wait for the lock screen customisation. Great thing! For me especially, because I really love to customise my phone. 2. I like the MIUI icons much much much ... more than the HyperOS ones. I don't know why, but I think the camera len on HyperOS is too big, scanner icon time traveled to 2014, Clock is a bit less simplier, Settings are too much "Apple-like", Themes - unsimplified, Compass too dark, Calculator not as bad but less simple too, and Mi Remote too dark, just like compass. I love the Gallery and Weather, those 2 are clean and simple, just how I like it. *Please Xiaomi, add an option to choose between the MIUI 14 and HyperOS icons in the next HyperOS update.* Many people would customise their phones even more to their liking! 3. Much smoother animations. They look great, and when they are smoother, they're faster. 4. The "Samsung style" bottom bar buttons In my opinion, not the greatest step. *We should get the MIUI 14 ones back like an option to choose between,* just like I said about the icons. Many people would make their phone "Their second me" 5. The Always-On lockscreen. Great idea! I have no words for that! Final verdict: I'm saying I can't wait for the HyperOS, but I'd like some changes or additions, so I can feel like home right on my phone. Good luck Xiaomi!

Installed it on my Redmi Note 12 today. I like the animation at the top of the screen when the charger is plugged in. I also like being able to change the clock font on the lock screen. Homescreen looping would have been a great addition...

@@grtgamer6990, manually checked for updates and it was there. It installed Hyper OS and Android 14 at the same time. It's in the Settings. Don't be afraid to look around. You can't make the phone yours if you don't go into Settings and Permissions and see what's what.
How you got the updates ... I have redmi note 12 (4g) India but there is no updates in my phone
