The psalm can be found in the ancient Christian music of cathedrals. The best relaxing music, the singing of psalms can heal depression and insomnia, relieve stress and anxiety. It is beneficial for children, bringing tranquility, serenity, and sleep. The psalms were written 3000 years ago by King David, having the power to ward off evil and illness, reconciling people with God and teaching them prayer (Bible, Book of Psalms).
1: Lăudați numele Domnului,
lăudați-L, voi, slugi, pe Domnul,
2: voi, cei ce stați în casa Domnului,
în curțile casei Dumnezeului nostru.
3: Lăudați-L pe Domnul, că este bun,
cântați numelui Său, că este bun;
4: Căci Domnul l-a ales pe Iacob,
să-I fie lui Israel moștenire.
face fulgere pentru ploaie;
scoate vânturile din vistieriile Sale.
The psalm, along with the akathist, the paraklesis, and some hymns, is among the most popular liturgical chants. The psalms are found in the Holy Services: the Divine Liturgy, Vespers and Matins, as well as in morning and evening prayers, known to every Christian. The psalms can also be read directly from the Psalter, grouped into kathismata.
Church music is beneficial for the soul and mind, enhancing concentration and learning abilities (study). At the same time, it serves as a beneficial treatment and healing therapy for individuals suffering from mental and spiritual illnesses, phobias, panic, and fear. It can be suitable as music for children or infants, bringing tranquility and sleep, similar to lullabies and more.
Psalm 44 (By the rivers of Babylon) has been deciphered from manuscripts dating back to the 14th century. Certain melismatic passages have been eliminated, while preserving the basic melodic line.
The audio recording is indicative and is a sonic reconstruction based on the transcription of ancient neumes. It by no means represents the only possible interpretation of the ancient score in Middle Byzantine notation.
For accompaniment, double ison was used. The antiphonal responses and ison were performed by a virtual choir, created by sampling a professional choir, one of the best available today.
Through audio mixing and mastering, a 3D spatialization of sound was aimed for, recreating the specific auditory experience of a cathedral (perceptible when using headphones).
Psalmic music is the most melodic of all musical genres. The very notion of "melody" emerged 1500 years ago in the Greek-speaking Orthodox context, from melos (honey) + ode (song), a song like honey. The great composers were called melodes (Saint Roman the Melodist) and melurgi. In major cathedrals, this music was performed by professional choirs.
To be appreciated at its true value, church music needs to be reproduced, mixed, and mastered professionally, in accordance with current audio standards, successfully replacing so-called relaxation music of non-Christian inspiration, as well as similar genres.
Ancient Christian music is at the origin of most religious and sacred musical genres in Europe and other places, and it is important to decipher and study it.
The paintings in the video belong to the most important Christian painters: Panselinos, Rublev, Theophanes the Greek, Theophanes the Cretan, etc., depicting in the most inspired way the Gospel image of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now living abroad with limited access to orthodox church, age and life experience, I've realized how truly soothing the orthodoxism is. My husband is catholic and I didn't find the catholicism really soothing for me. II was still missing the orthodox tradition: byzantine icons, golden altar, standing for good hours, chants, beeswax candles and frankincense.

    • I think the Christianity of Eckhart von Hoccheim is more open to atheists and secular people. He described God as being oneness and beingness itself. You need to be silent and still to know it. He literally said that ''simple folk'' think God is here and they there, but in reality we are one with it. He also said oneness adds nothing but the ground of being. I believe Jung spoke approvingly of him. ''The world-embracing spirit of Meister Eckhart knew, without discursive knowledge, the primordial mystical experience of India as well as of the Gnostics, and was itself the finest flower on the tree of the "Free Spirit" that flourished at the beginning of the eleventh century. Well might the writings of this Master be buried for six hundred years, for "his time was not yet come." Only in the nineteenth century did he find a public at all capable of appreciating the grandeur of his mind.''

The concordance points with the Holy Shroud are so numerous it would be way more then needed by law (in court) to establish certainty it is the same person. • @Tony G sure! I felt trapped by Christianity. There were many things that I did not agree with. For example, people who were bad people but still Christians that in the end redeemed themselves can go to heaven. But someone who was always good but not a Christian go to Hell. The first person was only good later in life, while the second was always good from the beginning. How come the first can go to heaven and not the second? Another one I can not explain quite well, but my relationship with God. It felt like a trap that would guilt trip you if you tried to leave. It would follow you. I no longer have this problem, and I am free. For me, the biggest thing that made me reconsider everything is its history. The Abrahamic God, which is the same for Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, all come from the Jews (so Judaism). I was curious about the origin of the jews as people and discovered the Israelites. God was one of the gods and was part of a pantheon of gods. After some time, the other gods were pushed to the side, and he became the only God. Don't get me wrong, I deeply respect and appreciate Christians, the true ones that don't fall prey to the wokist ideology. The same goes for the Jews and Muslims. As for myself, I found a path similar to Daoism. It is more of a philosophy of life rather than a religion. However, it still contains religious beliefs like the Dao. Sorry if this was a long message, but Christianity is a very complex and interesting subject. Peace be upon you and may God be with you, my friend.

Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. Jesus, you say that you came to bring us life, and life to the full. Through your death and resurrection, you brought hope to life. You gave us access to heaven and the limitless goodness and wisdom of the Father. Give me the desire today to seek you and teach me to value you above anything else.Lord Jesus, I come before you, just as I am, I am sorry for my sins, I repent of my sins, please forgive me.
