  • The Wire was one of the greatest shows ever. I'm an economist, so my favorite scene of the entire series was when the cop followed Stringer Bell to see what he was up to in the afternoons, and it turns out he was in an Economics class (to help him run his drug business).

    • Brits used to wear sneakers as function rather than fashion. The popularity of Basketball is a real driver for the shoe game in the US. Whereas that cultural impact did not really exist in the UK. You would have always seen more Air Max/Force and Adidas back in the day, but the game has changed now. Jordans are everywhere, mate!
