Learning how to sew and tailor clothing to fit me has been a life saver, I can basically wear anything I want now even if it doesn't fit me in store. A few small adjustments later and it's perfect :D Great skill to learn, and the best part is, it's easy to learn the basics and grow from there. Practicing on old damaged clothes or cheap stuff from the thrift store is how I learned, no teaching required really, just a steady, skillful hand or a sewing machine.

  • Man, i do really wish to learn how to do this, just like a hobby, and use my own made suits all the time, lol. Also, i want to see how they sew it!!

    • Jamie Kemp has an incredible how-to-tailor series that goes through everything you need to know, besides how to sew, but that is a self evident pre-requisite for someone into a niche craft such as tailoring

  • This video is great , matter of fact I give major props to this fella getting down on a suit from scratch and pair of slacks 💯💪 but the soothing sounds of the scissors cutting puts my right to sleep 💤

  • Loved the video! I was searching for tutorials and while watching couldnt stop thinking about how this process could be automatized with laser cutters to accelerate and allow for more productivity. I know this is an art and enjoy it but i always think of this kind of stuff

    • Amazingly, textile production is one of the only industries that is still unable to be automated, due to the unpredictability and adaptive handling required for it. Even to make a basic T-shirt industry still resorts to a production line as the most "efficient" way to produce. Reassuring to know that skills aren't futile, but it is definitely the cause for many ethical labour issues.
