Milwaukee M12 3/8" Crown Stapler

Milwaukee has come out with their Milwaukee M12 3/8” Crown Stapler, this stapler spans the gap between a hand stapler
and a hamper tacker. At $99.00 Milwaukee was able to replace an arduous hand tool, and make it easier to use, faster and
still keep it small enough to fit in your tool bags.
The M12 platform was the right place for this tool. It allows the tool to stay small, compact, and portable.
This tool was designed for the contractor using a stapler all day as a primary tool, but every contractor can benefit from its
durability, and ease of use.
Typical Applications for the M12 Stapler
• Insulation
• Polyethylene vapor barrier
• Thermo-Pan® sheeting for return air ducts
• Cornerbead
• Crafts

  • I have this baby and I love it. I hate the fatigue you get with the large T 50 staple guns. With this stapler I can staple over head insulation without fatigue from squeezing the trigger or the added pressure to stabilize my shoulder. This stapler is a win for Milwaukee!

  • For 10 years now, I've wanted an m12 stapler. It's about time Milwaukee! Bought this yesterday and it works great for the applications I use it for. I wouldn't say it's unstoppable, but it's got some decent punch behind it. One thing that surprised me when I first used it, was the delay. It's not like a solenoid fired corded stapler. But after going through a row of staples, it doesn't bother me anymore. It's quick and the delay is still much faster than using a manual hand stapler. I'd give this stapler an 8 out of 10, it loses 2 points because I don't really like the power adjuster dial (though it works), and it can't do a variety of staples and brad nails, like my Craftsmen can. Still, all in all, a great tool for $99 (Bare tool).

This stapler is amazing, been waiting for it to release for months! Just used it on a recent job attaching a scrim to a frame. Everyone was so impressed they all want to run out and get one of these. When we're 25 feet up in the air stretching fabric on a ladder who wants to deal with a compressor hose!

  • I couldn’t agree more. We have to find ways to reduce job site injuries. I build custom homes and remodel occasionally. 80% of job site workers are over 45 years and a large number are in their 60’s. Repetitive injuries are reduced significantly when we have and use the appropriate tools. I have both the Milwaukee M12 and M-18 lines. Unless the job absolutely requires the power of the m-18 fuel, I normally grab the m-12 set which fits into one large roller bag. This stapler would simply replace my manual stapler and take up no additional room.

  • Anybody have some tips for getting the staples to sink correctly? I have absolutely despised this tool for the year+ that I have owned it. At least half of my staples end up bent and smashed. I’ve tried shorter staples and various angles. Tried adjusting the depth. It hardly staples into any kind of wood. And there’s no way mine will even think about stapling through even flimsy corner beads. And I’m a pro with an entire trailer full of tools that I can operate correctly, so I’m no clumsy novice. Any help appreciated...

    • Brett Kowalewski it's gotta be this size or smaller to make it worth using

      @ConcordCarpenter@ConcordCarpenter6 жыл бұрын
    • A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz I agree. The Makita one is too bulky, and underpowered. If they pull off the micro pinner at the size this stapler is at and give it enough power, it will be a serious game changer. Then, they can polish up their m18 nailers with more streamlined heads and maybe get an m18 framing gun? They are so close...

  • Anyone have any ideas if this could staple through a metal hot air supply boot used in HVAC? like the boots that you put registers in. Im guessing they are around 28 gauge metal

    @CoasterCrazyy@CoasterCrazyy6 жыл бұрын
    • Probably not, unless it's thinner than 28 gauge - I tried it on solid metal corner bead, and it penetrated the metal about half the time, but always left the staples around an 1/8" proud. I'd say the corner bead was around the same 28 gauge thickness too - my calipers put it around 0.016", which is roughly 1/64". So for sheet metal, you'll need a mesh design or pre-existing holes to make it work, unless it's thinner than 28 gauge. I have seen Milwaukee reps successfully demo this stapler for installing Thermo Pan used for return air ducts though.

      @DoresoomReviews@DoresoomReviews6 жыл бұрын
    • Thermo pan is just cardboard though, I'd hope it was able to staple that. My company does not use thermopan we use a plastic joist liner
