You will probably not like the military.
my buddy does JROTC and he can grow a beard, but can't grow a state. He want's a stache bc he's allowed to have one in RO as long as it doesn't go pass the end of your lips. Started 2020 with a mustache as a gag only, but the reception has been so positive that I decided to keep it!
I still look at mine in the mirror and burst out laughing.
I did the same thing in January 2020, I had two women customers of mine complement me on it, maybe they were flirting? My Dad rocked a nice stache, I never had the confidence to wear one until now.
Since beginning 2019 for me 🙏
As long as your boyfriend likes it.

Thanks for your video. This really made my day because everything thing you talked about I learned all on my own. What a great feeling.. everything you said was exactly on point with what I imagined. It feels great to know that I was on point . I was just telling my lady what I need to use scissors to cut my stash different and here you are confirming everything. Thank you!
I’ve been rocking mine for about two years now (grew out full beard, goatee, etc) but mainly just like the stache look. Only problem is I’ve neglected taking care of it, but after this I got inspired to change that! Thanks again, appreciate the tips and tricks.

Started growing my mustache September 1973 @ the age of 19 & I have never shaved it off. I would grow it for a week or two & shave it, since I wasn’t sure if I had enough growth to have a thick mustache. An older man that I worked with convinced me to let it grow for a longer period of time, telling me that the follicles needed to droop down to make it thicken. About two months later I had a great looking Chevron mustache, inspired by Mark Spitz the 1972 Olympian. Later, Turned out looking as thick as Larry Csonka’s mustache. Now @ 65, it’s gray like Greg Berzinsky’s.
You give me hope im 19 and grow a pathetic stache im going to let it grow and see how it looks

I’m 62. Been rockin the stach since 1977 with the exception of a one time shave off when I went to basic military training in 78. The stach is my trademark. It does get a little wild at times I have to admit. And I do grow a beard once in awhile and definitely do the 5 o’clock shadow most days. You can see it for yourself in my videos. I have had a few guys tell me they want to grow one like mine but are afraid of criticism. I basically tell them to man up and grow a pair.
Fuck yeah! Thank you for your service

When you said pocketknife, I was VERY interested to see how to use that for proper mustache care, lol.
Funny you say that! For the longest time I didn’t have a proper pair of mustache scissors, so I used the mini scissors on my Swiss Army with much success. A testament to how well those things are built haha.
Loren Scheman have to agree! They're great in a pinch. Not my preferred tool, but not half bad.
I’m currently wearing a 8 month beard, but this video makes me want to bring back my Beardstache. Eric has an awesome beard, however I personally think this is his best style. The mustache is making its comeback in a strong way, I’m seeing them everywhere, so classic!
Joseph your a good lookin man
Rocked the beard for about 2 years, just turned 21 now ive decided on the beard-stache. Glad you said it was the best of both worlds
Spent most of my life trying to decide if a mustache is for me or not and I finally decided that I feel worse without it than I do with it, so I'm keeping it along for the rest of the ride and I look forward to having fun with it. Trying to grow it out like Jeff Daniels had his for his role as Col. Chamberlain for starters. Right now it droops the same but only 1/3 the size lol.
I never knew about moustache wax. Definitely getting it along with the comb, Eric. Great tips.
I'm currently at heavy stubble, growing in the beard for the Winter. I've rocked mustaches in some form for most of my life now. In my opinion, a good mustache is timeless. There's just not too many of us who can grow a good one.

Growing a mustache after 15 years. It is going great so far. A good thick mustache with a 3-4 day stubble works great for me.
Very nice video Eric! Im having a beardstache at the moment and I really enjoy it. For me it's one of the most cool styles I ever had. I am going for a smal handle bar mustache with a 2 week beard or so😎

Hey Eric, nice to see the mustache coming in. I’ve always been jealous of your mustache when it’s full- large and in charge 😃 Great vid.

Yo Eric! You rock this moustache style brilliantly!

Thanks, this is the best stache-video on this thing man.
Yeah Eric this is a Great style I'm a big fan of Chevron Mustache as you can see in my profile picture and I always prefer it with Clean Shaved face , always against the grain , not with stubble !
The Kermit voice gets me every time
On the first point, of only growing about a centimeter a month (which for many would actually be rather fast), I've been growing my moustache for like 6.5 years now. XD Now, I'm only 23, and my facial hair has actually only started to really kick in for a few months now. In my teens I only had to shave/trim (as I'm not growing a full beard, only a thin - but long - beard along with my moustache) about once every two weeks. Now I have to do it multiple times a week to keep it in mint shape, as I can visually see my stubble grow out in a matter of only a day now. But still, even if you have some nice facial hair growth going on, it'll still take some patience. Don't be discouraged though, it's like a work in progress. Enjoy the journey a bit.
Great video, thanks for the mo grow suggestions!
Thanks for everything Erick! Probably you’ll never read my comment, but I have to say thanks to you and beardbrand I’m rocking a full beard.

Totally going to bring back my walrus moustache for the upcoming corona time! I shaved it off last year, but started to I miss it immediately. Yeah, after one month the moustache looks totally different and after three month it looks awesome. Btw: I use a toothbrush to apply oil to my moustache, it works like a charme.
I like that style I have never tried it before but I would like to. Can you give me any advice?
@@shanepatrick641 Sure, it's actually pretty simple: Just let it grow out for 3-6 months. Do not trimm it! The hardest part is learning to eat and drink with it. You don't really need any product. I only used a small comb in the morning and applied some oil every now and than.
Dudes hilarious! Thanks for the tips.
Thank you for the tips, getting started with a chevron style and so far it's going alright!

Awesome tips man, thank you! Especially that first one, i needa get me a pair of scissors now that i know what im doing wrong.
I've had a moustache and short beard for a long time. But it was always so thick in height and grew much faster than my beard, for November I decided to grow it out... best decision ever, I now have a full handlebar moustache, currently wider than the width of my face, it's so much hassle to maintain but I have got nothing but compliments, I love it
This guy is awesome 💪🏻
This video is very instructive. I agree with all his advices, except the mullet.
For anyone watching this that is like me and trying to rock a real stache for the first time even though they’ve “tried in the past and never liked it” or “thought it looked dumb”, listen to me.. the #1 KEY is trimming it off your lip.. I think that’s what got me every time.. it looked janky, sloppy, and trashy.. but once I got a trim kit and started combing, brushing, and scissor trimming, I’m obsessed with it.. it’s all about keeping it off the lip.. don’t let ANYTHING hang over the lip and it will change your life lol.. happy stache-ing brothers!
You had me at “you smell this amazing mustache all day”
The way you talk and sound reminds of John C. Reilly

I've been sporting a mustache for a while now, and a couple of months ago I decided to grow it out to a handlebar. I like it, it looks fancy.
You sir inspired me to grow my first moustache. What started with a chevron, became a full beard and is now a friendly mutton chops :D
I'm rocking a chevron for 6 months now, mostly with a short stubble. I've tried to grow out my beard several times over the last years but I was never satisfied with the results due to some patches. The mustache was always very thick though! So instead, I decided to wear a solid mustache. Yes you get some jabs but hey, at least you dare to rock what you've got and wear it with pride!
How many months did you give the beard to grow? :-)

I think your voice is awesome. Distinctive, engaging and fresh. Great videos. Moustache ere we come.
I respect what you bring to the mini mullet game.
Love the old school reverse psychology... "Not ev e ryone has the balls to grow just a mustache"....sweet
Honestly it's not balls, it's the fact that a mustache seems so incomplete, and that's why they're typically grown with a soul patch or a beardstache. IMHO if you want to grow a solo stache it needs to be big and impressive, and Eric's as seen here is not.
@@stephenshelton4267 I guess everyone is different. His mustache looks fine to me. But I do understand that the bigger the mustache, the more eye catching and cooler it is. But I think bigger mustaches tend to work more for older dudes.
@@juliomaldonado4028 Nyone who can grow one is lucky as is. I will for ever complain that my woman will hate me for it, because its prickly to the point that everyrhing begins to break down. Dude, you grow a phenomenal mustache! Your mustache is thicker than mine at 4 months after only 6 weeks. I was so sad when you chopped off that glorious beast. When I was a little kid, Kermit told me things kids need to know. Over three decades later, Kermit comes into my life again and teaches me how to manage my mustache. I think he divorced Miss Piggy, grew a beard, bought a Harley and is just living the life now.
Pretty cool advice. Not being an expert myself and only having a stash and beard since 1975, I can dig it. Don't fret about beard/stash faux pas. It'll grow back.
Pretty good, thank you for showing how to take care of the mustache, and I can help my husband.👍🏼💕😊
I know im late to this party on this video, but to anyone who wants a moustache and is too afraid to grow one, just do it. Im 28, I have had a moustache in some form for the better part of the last 10 years, and for the last few years ONLY a moustache because Im a firefighter now. If its the criticism your worried about, first of all just stop worrying because who cares what anyone thinks. But more importantly, the only people in my experience who crack jokes are your friends. (one of my friends does call me Jeff Foxworthy from time to time lol) I dont think I have had even one time where a random stranger criticized my stache. Even if they did I wouldnt care but be you, thats the point.
You’re right, to hell what ppl think. As to reasons why I’m growing mine out.
Damn right I'm rocking a mustache and of handlebar variety, been doing so for years and I would never dare shave it off. I tried going for a large beard to accompany it in the last year but I found it wasn't letting the stash shine and pop the way I wanted so I went back to a short beard in the holidays. It was an interesting experiment but in the end I am a man of mustache and it so happens my fiancee likes that look better anyway.
The other day I shaved off my winter beard and decided to rock the stash for the first time, because I can =) Then a few days later I stumble onto this gem of a video...
