As a LT in high school, I used to widen the gap like hell on speedy D Ends. They’d either run themselves out of the play or have to crash hard inside where I had better leverage. Best defender I ever had to block was on my team thankfully so practice made perfect.

Trayveon has basically made his way to 3rd now. Hell, I think Evans was inactive Sunday against the Browns. Evans has not flashed the way I thought he would this year. Some could say he’s not getting the opportunities but if the coaching staff isn’t putting him in there much, especially while Mixon was out, that tells me a lot. He had the go-ahead TD against the Chiefs but he was also wide open. Outside of that, I can’t think of a lot of great plays he’s made this season. Trayveon has stepped up. And he’s good in pass pro, as shown in this video.

A good running game is so underrated. Seen so many games where a team keeps on pounding the ball with the run, controlling TOP, and then dominating the latter half of the game. The one thing that really bothers Joe Burrow in the pocket is the tackle getting beat inside, especially on the right side of the line. I wasn't paying attention to the splits as much but since Joe duznt drop back as far as Mahomes and Allen like to, as long as the tackle duznt get beat inside they can run the rusher by Joe and he is great at stepping up and out of the pocket. The Bengals are my second favorite team to the Eagles(because I became a fan when they got Burrow cuz i am a fan of him) and I haven't got to watch as many games cuz they are playing at the same time a lot, but I am just glad they got their stuff together because I don't want Joe to get injured again.

I had to watch a video made by someone that isn't a Bengals fan to finally find someone who knows what the hell they are talking about. The Bengals KZhead sites have nothing but tools that lack all objectivity and only want to talk about how great JaMarr Chase is. Not that he's isn't but he's not the main driver of this team. Burrow and the o-line is and their play during his absence proves it. The interior of the o-line is now pretty good. Karras and Cappa are really good and Volsen is making great strides. La-ell Collins is better but is still immobile and isn't a long term solution and Jonah Williams is a bust and needs to be replaced at the end of the season. They don't have to be great though when you have a QB like Burrow so hopefully they are good enough. Hopefully this time clueless Taylor catches on and runs more against Clevelands poor run defense( Something as you pointed out he failed to do the first time) especially when your line is struggling in pass defense. Taylor is holding Burrow back. Anarumo for head coach!

I learned more from this video than I have from any other video I've ever seen. Not even close. Great job!
Anyone who is getting into coaching football at any level needs to watch your videos. awesome stuff and info, keep it up
Thank you man! That's a big compliment.
This just popped up in my recommendations. Loved the video. The explanations were great. I just found a new channel to watch.
Loved the tech breakdown
5:13 #32 is Trayveon Williams. Chris Evans is #25.
First video I’ve watched of yours and will definitely sub, great breakdown 🔥
Incredible breakdown.
Man...this is GREAT! I didn't know how o line changed around. Good lecture, my man. Subscribe time.
As someone who played o-tackle, I would salivate when the defensive end tried to shoot the inside gap. It made my life a lot easier.
Awesome breakdown, that was great!
what a fantastic analysis
Fantastic analysis. Earned my sub.
Man this is great content! Keep up the great work
Bro this is awesome. im gonna try to see if i can recognize coverages from my couch now 😅. Visual overlay helps a lot
Exceptional job on this!
As a football fan, but with zero experience in actually playing football, you did a great job showing and explaining what was going on. Great job!
Damn, that’s a great analysis.
Excellent video. Well done.
I remember playing QB in highschool on a air raid team . Our lineman’s splits were so close due to being undisciplined it felt like I was in closet most drop backs . When we fixed the problem our linemen splits were legit 3 to 4ft from each other but the protection was insane . Small but major difference
Thanks for this.
Nobody ever thinks about line splits, but they’re a major part of the game.
Between his 1st and 2nd seasons at LSU, Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, and the other receivers did A LOT of practicing on reads and broken plays. Damn, imagine this Bengals team with Chase, Higgins, AND Justin Jefferson. Not for nothing, I think Joey B started showing us who he really is in the Fiesta Bowl against UCF at the end of his 1st season at LSU: 21-34 and 394 yards, 4 TDs and 1 INT
Great vid! One of the best i've seen. 👍
Luved this
Great stuff
lovwe this stuff
Good production
Big up
Really interesting stuff!
Excellent video. New subscriber. Some blame goes on coach. An almost completely new group with a rookie and they didn't play together at all in the preseason and it certainly showed, especially in the first few games. I'd be fine w/ Jonah being replaced when his deal is up.
Great video!
my first video of yours, won't be my last, Great stuff!!!
0:41 lmao the block on #48 of the titans...
you don’t get the credit you deserve bro , any real football fan should love these videos! you break it down like chess🤜🏾
"...it appeared that the Bengals forgot running the ball was an option." AMEN!
Greaaaat video! Couldn’t hit sub fast enough man.
Nice breakdown.
Great video.
Disposed of Cleveland and they only got to Burrow ONCE! Watch out, the Bengals are comin!!!! Who Dey!
Joe Burrow is so good at an elite level, and he looks like he has to ask Dad's permission to use the car.
The problem is when you use it for a run then there is a massive hole for the dt to loop around and blow the play up. And if you only do the split for runs then you create a tell which the bengals already have while in the gun.
Finally someone talking about splits!!!! Anyone who knows football knows how important this is
Happy I found this channel. I notice this split during the Cowboys game. Collins was getting his ass whooped by Parsons. Beat that man like Debo taking Reds bike😂😂😂 Note I'm curious how Mixon will fit in since he's the weaker blocker out of the four tailbacks. Great breakdown 2nd Note: Jonah Williams rn is playing through an knee injury as well
Will you do any “Film Study” videos on upcoming college players from the NFL draft? Those are pretty cool to see!!
Absolutely! Looking to cover most of the top 50
@@ThinkingFootball sweet deal! 😄
Dude I love your channel
Bro good stuff
Whoa... I hope the Browns Defensive room has come to the same conclusions and devised appropriate measures to deal with these situations. Gonna be a long day, if not... Thanks for this analysis.
Going to need a Lions Video on how they keeping that team so efficient right now
You got a new subscription my guy
I wonder when the game will revert back to a power run offense. It's only a matter of time. If defenses keep focusing on speed and quickness, eventually there will be a team that will try to revive the power run game. I can't wait to see it.
Great video! Who Dey!!
0:41 48 on the Titans gets absolutely laid the fuck out 😂😂
It worked against the browns 😈😈😈. Awesome video man
My highschool team does this linemen splits. they also motion the linemen to get closer in the gaps.
Contain is the #1 priority as a D end.
Man, this was really cool for a non technical football normal like me
He's the best QB in the league. It's not about the numbers, it's about his decision making and freaking darts he throws
Greg Rousseau vs collins gonna be great to watch
For what it’s worth… Remember and Atlanta had ., WR White & Jones and TE like Gonzales along with M Ryan and well everybody remembers that Bowl game. So you need more than A good QB 2 all star WR possibly the TE and quality run game.
Good to hear Evans gets in there blocking, was wondering how he did undersized
its unfortunate Mixons blocking isnt quite a strong point
That was Trey Henderson, not Chris Evans.
@@robertslack2037 That was Trayveon Williams with that block in the Tennessee game, not Evans or Hendrickson.
@@Tomahawk1249 Williams wtf. Feel like an ass now. Knew it wasn't Evans though
Excellent video. The way you break things down, you should have a job in broadcasting.
Wow I’ve never seen this before, definitely an interesting idea
Nice vid 👌
I could watch offense and defensive lineman go at it all day long…
