  • Saweetie..I love you. So much. I've been working on my mental health since I had my daughter three years ago..lots of trauma..but I've been able to repair the damage the last 25 years of abuse from my dad and the death of my mom when I was 8, left me w, FOR MY DAUGHTER. Im the only one in my family to stop the cycle of abuse and addiction. If you don't take care of your mind your going to hurt people. THANK YOU FOR BEING ONE OF THE FEW TALKING ABOUT THIS. Our society would be so much better if everyone took care of their mental health, but also if WE ALL LEARNED CONFLICT RESOLUTION. SAWEETIE PLEASE DO MORE THINGS LIKE THIS

  • I ain't gon lie, you earned my respect in broaching the topic addressing mental health, especially from an urban perspective. One thing of note I felt was super important in dealing with our inner life wasn't really addressed. I applaud you for starting the conversation, but I think it needs to continue. One way it needs to continue deals not just with expressing emotions and feelings, but learning how to express them in ways that are healthy and constructive. Learning to channel those feelings in ways that not only lift the burden of the one going thru their feels, but also in ways that are good representations of dealing with issues for those who look up to us, as well as in ways that heal the rift between the individuals so that peace is restored. (Everybody don't have to be friends, but we don't have to be enemies either.) I would love to see investments by the hip hop and rap community towards programs for adults that address mental health issues. I would also like to see teen initiatives. I put it this way because most of the trauma of the youth begin at the hand of an adult who hasn't dealt with their issues, and it's the adults who are the most lacking in support. If there is any way I can help, I'm in Atlanta.

  • So weird this showed up in my feed today and he mentioned people losing their job. Because I just lost mine today and I'm just sitting here tryna get my thoughts together because I am all over the place. I already suffer from anxiety and a great deal of it was from this job. So I'm somewhere relieved but Bills wait for nobody. So this was a much needed episode to see

    • I hope you're doing better today. Everything will come together for you honey. When I lost my job I had a sigh of relief cause there were some real demons at my office..goddamn lol. But I was blessed a few weeks later with a job that paid way more and less stressing. Put your intentions out there hun the universe will hear you. God bless
