The doctors teachers, equipment manufacturers, store owners, Firefighters, nurses, Truck drivers, construction people and every paying job that allows people to buy the food the farmers grow. Without them the farms become 1 acre mule plowed plots behind each farm sheds outhouse. .... farmers are important but not more important than any of the other people.

    • I only needed to watch the first two minutes and realized Arnold is full of shit; it's easy to talk about vision and success when you're already successful. How many millions of people fail despite their best efforts, and despite their visions and thoughts that they are special, and that they were born for something unique and big? That's how useful all these motivational speeches are; not worth the air it takes to speak them out loud.

      @Datamike@Datamike2 жыл бұрын
    • @@Datamike Spoken like a true American. Many here think they are worthy yet baulk at the level of effort or finance they would need to invest. Many Americans get shit degrees and fail in life yet foreigners come here and excel. All of America has a silver spoon in its mouth when compared to the rest of the world. I wanted to be a soldier and I wanted to be in law enforcement. I worked for it and I did it. What he is saying breaks down to if you don't like it then change it. Change takes risk which most people are afraid of. It takes dedication. Few people are going to make it the lengths that he did and that is okay. Arnold isn't full of shit as you say. He is talking about personal experiences that didn't just land in his lap. He had to leave his country and his family with no guarantee of success. Would you have had the courage? I don't think so and neither would many others.

Im pretty sure you do similar with other people as well, your life must be super miserable when you are getting jealous if people succeed with stuff you could never do.

  • He is right. My mum was always sick and we were poor, no one had even graduated highschool in my family. At 5, I knew that I had to become a doctor to help my mom. My parents moved me from my beloved homeland and soon I went to Vietnam to fight. But I did become a doctor and when my mom developed esophageal cancer, I arranged for her to have the best surgical and medical care at Mass General. My wife and I then cared for her in our home for one year and she survived 10 years, rare for her cancer. When it returned, we cared for her for another year at home ensuring her suffering was minimal and that she received all the best support. At the end after not eating for a while and not being out of bed, she asked for some broth, sat at the table and ate it. Then mum wanted to go for a drive to her beloved beach and we did. She relaxed and smiled, kissed us, and later that night died. We scattered her ashes in the ocean. My vision at 5 years old was accomplished and completed.

In my late 20's I followed his advice about believing in yourself and went to university and despite even some teachers telling me to quit, I refused. I walked away with a degree - first in my family to do so. Ten years on, I followed my dreams to move to the country I wanted to be in - Japan - and it all comes down to not listening to the naysayers, believing in yourself, knowing where you're going and going for it!

So his vision of success was the destruction of the dreams of hardworking healthcare professionals dedicating their lives to the betterment of others and only hoping to rewarded financially to the extent that they could have comfortable lives. He was 100% republican in that regard - selfish, uncaring and cynical. Gradually, he became a normal human being - probably something to do with his wife and actually seeing how less fortunate people are forced to live given the policies implemented by the selfish right wing.

    • In this world, someone is successful and someone is not. Because the purpose of our existence is not running behind our desires. We human beings are created by the One who is going to cause our death. Indeed, age is just a number for death. Many have come and gone and there is no trace of them on this earth. No matter whatever our purpose in life is, it is going to end with our death. The right to define the true purpose of our life belongs to our Creator who will cause our death. The purpose of our life is defined by the Almighty in the Holy Quran Adh-Dhariyat 51:56 وَمَا خَلَقْتُ ٱلْجِنَّ وَٱلْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. Say, " Allah causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know." Al-Mu'minun 23:115 أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?"

    • The meaning of life is created through vision. Just as Arnold says, one without vision simply wanders and never goes anywhere. Our purpose is not shared in most respects. Your vision is yours alone, and that's what gives your life meaning. Not only that, but your existence may also give others purpose or meaning.

  • Thank you so incredibly much, Governor. I could never describe how important hearing this has been. This is exactly what has been destroying my life. I’ve known these things on some level for a long time, but to hear you speak them clearly and directly crystallized these things in my mind. This has reenergized me towards the path I should be taking. The one biggest difficulty is I haven’t been able to define a direction and a goal. I knew this was the thing that I lacked, and your message stated this with such simple clarity, that it is unmistakable of what I am lacking.

It never occurs to his sadly neglected and underdeveloped cranial recesses that maybe everyone does not have the leisure time to engage single-mindedly in their favorite hobby to such a degree that they win awards. Not everyone is the son of a police chief. Schwarzenegger has said that his father had "no patience for listening or understanding your problems". To which I say: Like father, like son. It is quite beyond his comprehension, and that of many other mouthpieces for privilege, that the overwhelming majority of people in the wide world are at a basic survival level, in order to support pontificating parasites, and have little to no time for anything else. Remove the props and the supporting framework for the vaunted 2%, and then where would they be? Frantically looking for ways to survive, maybe?

Behind that, I saw more spiritual attack's from the enemies, working on holding such blessings, causing your set back, but you are lifted above any spiritual tower. So the Lord is instructing you to sow a seed of faith into a motherless babies home. (Orphanage), this is going to be a covenant seed between you and God. The Lord ask me to tell you before the end of (3) three days, you should try as much as possible to sow the seed into Godstime motherless babies home (orphanage) located in somewhere in Nigeria to bring spiritual and divine breakthrough in your life and that of your family because there is power in sowing of seed. Contact the orphanage home management or you can also whatsapp them on this number: +2349132889707 if you are through with this let me know so I give you guide lines on how you should pray. One can say many things about that country but those kind of cultural restraints does not apply there that we have in many places here in Europe. I live in Sweden, it is an arch example of what I mean. People have left this country too, for the US, and they have succeeded.

My best friends, same county, same highschool, all still have everything paid for by their parents. Cell phone, rent, insurance, car payments, you name it. They are all much more "successful" than me. Me, someone who was homeless while working two jobs simply because rent is too expensive. I'd like to get ahead but life is simply too expensive to be expected to earn you way starting at the age of 17 with no safety net. It's impossible. I've lived off ramen and bologna sandwiches for years. Because I'm single, I don't qualify for 99% of benefits. It's ludacris to listen to people who had overwhelming amounts of support talk about success. You can't fail when the people around you won't let you. It's just a matter of having people with money that care about you. Also, arnold was initially successful because of his muscle. Which he has admitted to taking steroids through his lifting career. He basically cheated his was to success.
