Your use of household items like safety pins and toothpicks is inspired - have an upcoming project that will involve a bit of gathering and will try either or both of your gathering techniques. Never would have thought that inserting a straight pin into my presser foot could work to gather the fabric. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us!

  • hola buenas noches, gracias por compartir esos tips.. una sugerencia para que n tenga que oerder tanto tiempo acomodando a cada rato el hilo puede colocarlo dentro de una cajita plastica o de carton y la coloca a un lado de la maquina sujetándola con cinta doble faz para que no se mueva.. 👍🙅‍♀

  • Cualquier objeto agregado al prensa telas se puede convertir en proyectil, especialmente en una máquina industrial como la que ella esta usando. Por favor sentido común. Si el asunto es productividad, la industria tiene attachments especiales y si ahorrar tiempo no es tan importante para que arriesgar que el alfiler le salte y le pueda herir.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you for the tip on using the large overlock spools of thread using a safety pin. I have a machine (very old) with a threading set up similar to yours. Fortunately I have a spool adaptor, to convert the old style conventional/wooden cotton reels to the new style thread reels (yes my very old machine is that old!). I never thought about using it to hang over the back of the machine and convert overlock spools. Duh!! 🤔😂
