Why do they stand? It seems super awkward
It seems weird, but if you were there as a caster, you want to see the same view as a fan would, you’d want to be able to describe what you’re seeing and what is happening just as a true fan would. That gives the best experience to the viewers at home. The pure raw emotion that a true fan would experience as if they are watching it in person, with a crowd of thousands. It helps them get into the headspace to describe in detail exactly what is happening. Casters in other sports certainly stand up in excitement at times, why not stand up for a big moment in CSGO?
