Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow Review: • Splinter Cell Pandora ...
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory Review: • Splinter Cell Chaos Th...
Eighteen years ago Ubisoft Montreal developed the original Splinter Cell kicking off one of the strongest stealth franchises known to gaming. It also introduces gamers to Sam Fisher, a legendary anti-hero played by Michael Ironside.
The Splinter Cell series has had some incredible highs and a few lows but the franchise has always stayed consistent and its titles rank among some of the best stealth games ever made, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for example. It's no wonder fans are antsy for a new entry especially after the underappreciated Splinter Cell Blacklist (who knows maybe splinter cell VR will be cool).
But 18 years after its release how does the original game hold up? Is Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell still the height of stealth action gaming? Find out in this review retrospective.
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell was published by Ubisoft and developed by Ubisoft Montreal. It is available for Xbox, PC (GOG, STEAM, Uplay) PS2, PS3 and Gamecube.

It would be a major mistake if they did this remake without him.
100%. It just wouldn’t feel the same. I can almost guarantee they’ll do it without him.
I wouldn't be so sure. We don't know anything yet. Wait for new information before making assumptions.
@@vanilla3464 It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure it out dude, just look at the gaming industry today and how it’s all changed for the money. All they care about is the money. Dead Space remake featured Isaac’s character with a voice now whereas in the original he didn’t have any lines, plus all the other characters were new actors. Recent COD Modern Warfare 2’s voice actors were all new and changed when compared to the original MW2 of 2019. Yea I know those games aren’t from Ubisoft but point is they’re making games today from a much larger budget so therefore more tools and resources are available to them which weren’t before. For that very reason they’ll do what in THEIR best interests, not the PLAYERS. Of course I wish they brought back Mike for the voice since it would be a huge mistake but all Im saying is don’t have expectations or get your hopes up, just have the idea in your mind that they may not do it and if they do don’t be surprised.
@@RatedRRaj modern gaming has games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Spiderman PS4. Pretty damn great if you ask me. Quit being a old hag that "modern" equals: bad especially when they had Ironside return to the role twice in the recent Ghost Recon games. Doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to realize that your circlejerking.
@@RatedRRajIronside voiced Sam in Ghost recon wildlands(2017) so it's possible. But Ironside not coming back wouldnt be because of "money/corporate greed" it'll likely be because of Ironsides health issues, the guy had cancer back in 2013...
I never left, I AM SAM FISHER!
Love him as an actor, this is so cool to learn.
Hope they make another Splinter Cell with Ironside back.
They are making a new splinter cell game. I think it will be a remake of part 1 but not too sure
@@spooky8741 yeah it's a remake of the first SC game.
@@spooky8741 That's great to hear. I so want a remake of Chaos Theory. I really hate the latest games quick unrealistic ledge movement and climbing.
"I am Sam Fisher." 😩👌
Yes Sir, we all love Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher.. He is Sam Fisher ❤
Michael Ironside is Sam fisher just as much Robert Downy Jr. is iron man.
This man is a legend. I seriously hope he voices in the remake too but I doubt it.
While we’re waiting for the new Splinter Cell, they should have Ironside record the dialogue for Blacklist and re-release with a better frame rate and call it a “remaster.” I’d buy it. ☺️
They could still bring him back to act the role of a retired Sam in the position that was Lambert's for a new field operative. No motion capture, just voice lines for briefings and in-game guidance. Will they though? Nooo.
Why retired? Sam Fisher is Splinter Cell.
@@jeckek9936 I'd sooner have a retired Sam voiced by an old Ironside than a younger Sam voiced by some random guy like in Blacklist.
@@Ghost_Of_SAS I was thinking Mel Gibson would make a great replacement and even a live movie adaption/portrayal of Sam (after George Clooney.)
@@jeckek9936 there's an idea
@@Ghost_Of_SAS they are making a remake of the first game, sam isn't gonna be that old
“I am Sam Fisher” gave me goosebumps, absolute god damn legend
Seen him in many movies and only recently realised he was the voice of Sam Fisher....
I love it when Sam has those moments where he cracks some stupid joke and the only one laughing is me.
BRING THIS MAN BACK WE MISS SAM FISHER
Give me a new Splinter Cell where Sam Fisher is a mentor to a new spy. Like Batman Beyond style.
fantastic actor
He IS Sam Fisher
Bro, if only you edited the "I am Sam Fisher" with the trisgoogles sound.
That voice actor is amazing
Michael Ironside will always be Sam Fisher
I truly would rather a new Splinter Cell character to get attached to and have his own adventures with a Sam Fisher being the handler so we still get the character being owned by Ironsides but we can still get the best stealth action franchise ever
"I never left, I am Sam Fisher"
Loved Michael in _"V"_ TV Series. 👑 Splinter Cell immortalised him.
Kept you waiting, huh?
His voice is perfect for the character.
What a charismatic voice actor and fully beloved character
I loved Sam’s snarkiness in the original games, especially Chaos Theory. He sounded very professional but also human.
Sam: I was going to say Seventies, could you please stop making me feel old?
Time takes its toll
He Will always be sam. Ironside gave Sam his most special voice to the character. I first realized who he was when I rewatched Starship Troopers and I was "like wtff sam?!" Double Agent multi-player was so much fun.
Sam Fisher Michael Ironside 🐐
Ironside’s work in these games is easily in the upper echelon (see what I did there) of vocal performances in games.
He also voiced Darksied in the Justice League series cartoon
i still get the chills!
We need a triumphant return to the role
I still play the games just to hear his voice.
Always wished Sam/Ironside took command of 4th Echelon in the games. Then introduce newly recruited Splinter Cell agents the gamer could customize. Sam would send you on missions and advise the same way Lambert did.
Really want to see him voice Batman
I need this guy to play sam fisher
He definitely will always be Sam Fisher.
That explains why in Blacklist, apart from having a different voice actor, Sam also had a different personality Michael could be considered the true writer of Sam Fisher as a character
Happy to know he is just as dedicated to his role just like David Hayter did with Snake
He’ll always be Sam!
You are .. Sam Fisher .. 🎉
If mike ironside isn't in the next remake, i will wait until the game goes on a 75-90% sale before buying it.
Always and forever - the only Sam Fisher. :D
I wanna see master chiefs voice actor and sams voice actor together
This man/character is to Ubisoft what Ghost is to Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
I hope he's in the remake
hot damn, first time I saw him was in the 80s show V
He's right, he is Sam Fisher. Next splinter cell better have his voice at the helm.
If only ubisoft were a ounce of the company they were in the early 2000s.
i was glad to see him in "blackberry"
If you wanna know what Ubisoft Sam Fisher sounded like before Michael Ironside fixed him, look no further than the majority of Splinter Cell Blacklist. If Ironside was healthy, he would've made same a better character in this game, but sadly he was dealing with cancer at the time.
Please reboot this story. This is the only character that gets faster and stronger with age
Michael Ironside is the GOAT. Really tho, could you believe Ubisoft had actually an amazingly iconic character?
Michael Ironside IS Sam Fisher. This game is one of if not the best in its genre. Period!
Total recall babe ❤❤ .. He was the best villian
I hope in the future AI voices will be... wait, Attenborough's voice is already good enough, so basically I would love it if in the future actors could just allow the use of their AI voice for a lower price or something so they can technically still voice a character if too old, sick or... you know, dead. I mean Sir Sean Connery's voice is utterly iconic and with him gone I have to think how much we could retain despite the inevitable. On the other hand who gets paid, is it morally okay, etc. can be a pretty big can of worms.
Godly 💯 GOAT 🐐
I Micheal Ironside in his prime could have played a Sam Fisher. That what have worked
Love SC!! Please make a chaos theory remake and have ironside do Sam
Hope he trains a protégé to replace him when he retires from the role/or passes, sadly it's inevitable :^(. It's always good to be prepared.
GOAT
You won’t get a medal for this fisher! Medals don’t help me sleep at night🗿
Please, ffs while the legend is still alive MAKE one more Splinter Cell game with him as Sam Fisher!
Ubisoft is too interested In making cash grab boring open worlds with a ton of microtransactions.
@@notbadforanoob8725 plus the book writer is already passed away, Tom Clancy.
@@georelbonai8244Tom Clancy had nothing to do with the books. In fact, nothing with the Tom Clancy name has had his direct involvement since like the first Rainbow Six or something like that. I think he wrote the first Rainbow Six book and helped guide the development of the related game and then beyond that his name is nothing but a brand to sell products with.
Im happy that Jack Nicholson is doing alright ❤
There's only one Sam Fisher!!
My Favourite game but i never Played
If Michael Ironside has ownership of the role, why did they change voice actor for sam fisher in Splinter Cell Blacklist?
For me Splinter cell franchise ended with Conviction. It should close there and Ubi should have made a remaster of all of them for ps4/5.
You’re god damn right he’s Sam fisher lol
Yup , the legendary SAM FISHER.
Yes you are sir.
He turned it down because he was originally going to be the very same character that he is in Blacklist. Funny.
Wow, el doblaje Español se parece mucho al original
Is he in the next one or what? Wtf, no news.
There is only one Sam fisher
If you want to reboot Splinter Cell fine. Use a different protagonist/voice actor. If Fisher does appear, stick him in a Lambert Position with Grim, and get a younger prospect. Fishers story has been told to death and the man is probably in his mid to late 60s.
It's why Blacklist felt flat.
Why not use AI to imitate his voice?
🐕
Hi
Veedu thuppara nee
Nope, Sam fisher was played by the same guy who voice acted Kratos. This guy is sending misinformation.
Bro i dont think u play the splinter cell trilogy
