I cannot believe a fish made this elaborate geometric masterpiece - not even a human could do this without serious planning. It looks like an image of the radiant sun.
You cannot believe it? Because a human couldn't do it? There's a lot of stuff that humans cannot do that other animals do well. This happens to be one that we can appreciate is spectacular, but the natural world is full of amazing abilities that we don't have.
Still seemed like it took serious planning for the fish to me.

This has to be one of the most fascinating things I have seen that occurs in nature.Truly amazing.
And you have birds doing basically the very same thing. Life is amazing, and dudes do anything to get laid.
And it just did not happen due to evolution. At some point in time; this knowledge had to be placed in the genes or DNA of the creatures that have these abilities. A Creator had to do this as there is really no other way for it to happen. Think about it.

As much as I like fishes and care for them, they aren't that "intelligent". It's anthropomorphism to say that they are artistic. This is the result of million of years of evolution, this build is made automatically, and is optimised for the female to lay eggs. We, humans, interpret it as art, when in reality it's a comportement motivated for reproduction. But don't get me wrong, it's still pleasent to see, and very cute imo.
@@octologue3206 Wrong. Everything we call intelligence in ourselves is also results of millions of years of evolution, and most of what we do is also motivated by desire to reproduce. This is absolutely intelligence. Pufferfish are much more intelligent than your average fish.

Fish are very smart. I remember seeing videos of goldfish performing tricks. I don't care what people say, you have to have some intelligence to learn how to do things, especially when it's against natural habits.

Puffers are awesome and incredibly intelligent. I have a porcupine puffer (He acts like a dog and even eats peas), a Dogface Puffer, a Blue Spotted Puffer, Figure 8 Puffers, Green Spotted Puffers, and Pea Puffers. Watching an aquarium is so much better than watching television. 🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡

@@danko5866 I was pondering that, but then how did it start? And why the carefully chosen shells? Learned behavior would have any comparable shell placed with less precise positioning. Perhaps I'm applying human action to a nonhuman, something I think is a common reaction. I've seen pretty nest, attractive hides, etc. but not such intricate work. It's art

You’re right, this is a frequency mandala OR an eye (iris and pupil). This is a preprogrammed feature that was made by someone who created this creature. The fish doesn’t think, it’s just programmed to make these patterns.
