  • What a great guy Dean Martin was! Amazing good humor besides great talent and fantastic humor. Most of the drinking was just was part of the stage persona. I attended few of his shows at Caesar's South Lake Tahoe. What a special unique presence to make everybody else feel good and happy. All gone now... why do such talented people have to die too... there should be an exception for them to do what they beautifully do with so many talents singing, talking, do comedy so easily to make any audience forget their problems and smile and laugh. His image, personality and lighting up the stage will be will be in my thoughts and mind for the rest of my life, What a loss to humanity!

My Dad sure he drank a fair bit, but he was a good man just like Dean and he was friendly and happy and still alive. I come to KZhead quite a bit now and all these old songs take me back to a better time.

    • What an amazing talent is our Deano but he is not even a comparison to the greatest singer that ever graced us with his presence . on a scale of 1 to 10 a 1 .

      @juliepalmer9046@juliepalmer90467 жыл бұрын
    • I don´t want to make preferences between the two. Dean was a comedian and had an amazing prescence on stage, besides when he sang. Frankie was "the voice". They had their different strenghts but they were so alike at the same time. I admire them both and refuse to compare them. Thanks.

      @maldobostero12@maldobostero127 жыл бұрын
    • I don't understand why people are comparing to begin with, I wasn't even talking about who was the better singer lol. My original statement was known to be true in Franks inner circle. He loved and idolized Deano because of his calm and cool demeanor. Has nothing to do with Bobby Darin lol. And ya, Bobby Darrin was an amazing singer, but in popular culture he's not even worthy of shining Frank and Deans shoes. He's the guy who's songs you hear, and don't have a clue who's singing it. RIP Dean. RIP Frank.

    • +MastaBalla23 A lot use auto tune, not the crazy kesha shit but auto tune that "fixes" the singing which makes it sound clean and "perfect". Now a lot of music sounds fake. During this era and later they didn't have it so they sounded more natural. I think don't quote me on it.

    • Mackelroy McJohnstonson that's cultural relativism. sorry there is objectivity to art and beauty. that saying beauty is in the eye of the beholder is 90% BS. beauty is pretty much recognized across all strata of society and different cultures. you could show a picture of a gorgeous girl and an ugly one across all culture and 99℅ of whomever will distinguish. the other 1% is fucked up on drugs. we happen to be in a periodic drought for real entertainers of original style and class. one factor is society has relaxed it's standards of talent and style. we're living in the participation trophy generation. look at pictures of old ball games. a lot of the fans came in coat and times. now a lot of fans were the jerseys of their team. they need to actually feel an included member of the team. the record companies got greedy and targeted peasants and immature kids with classless lyrics of fuck piss shit hoe nigga fuck piss shit said over and over with a sob story of their life thrown in. and the dregs of society together with silly kids bought it.
