I've included a very condensed playthrough of the space level at the end because it's pretty cool, but at the moment it's quite unfinished (so you can't see your missiles and stuff). There's a glimpse right at the end of the vid that shows you what it's supposed to look like.
I mean, in some regards, it 'could' be a bit realistic you can't see the enemies. At those speeds, if you can see each other, you are too darn close. But then again, it wouldn't be Another Space Opera if everything was realistic.
@@FlameSoulis He said you can't see the bullets and missiles, not enemies.
I think the enemies might be missing too, but I'm not 100% on that.
@@AlphaBetaGamer I saw the bull's eye symbols on the screen of the spaceship, so maybe the enemies are within those symbols.
This is definitely a bug. It happens on some displays, we're not sure why but we're working on it.
Just the opening and I love it already. Voice acting is perfect. The violence is chef’s kiss. It’s like a 80s action movie.
Yeah, I really loved that opening scene. The robot's brutal fight sequence was especially cool! :)
@@AlphaBetaGamer Sarabella was right to name the AI "Phobos". Phobos means "fear". I hope we'll have Phobos as a companion in the game at some point.

Yeah Oppy is a funny thing... 'its' just a machine and yet I too couldn't help but buy into 'her' anthropromorphisation, as silly as it is. Good PR for NASA as the cynic in me realises. The romantic in me however, secretly hopes that centuries from now she will be found, dug out of the Martian dust and duly sit in a place of honour in a museum within a budding Martian Colony, her new forever home, that she ushered in. Never to be lonely again.

that shit never happened. it's a misleading poetic interpretation of a raw technical transmission that caught media attention. such bullshit. it sent a status transmission where the batteries were reported low due to large amounts of sand deposited on its solar panels due to storms that lasted for a year. they tried to keep it at a minimum battery consumption rate, but the storm took too long and didn't help at removing the sand deposits. yes its battery was low and yes it was dark due to sand storms and in a metaphorical sense of not being able to receive the necessary amount of sunlight.

That beginning is what I'd consider a "rude ass awakening." 😊 The art style is simply beautiful ❤️. Music stands out; really good.
Damn; this looks _sick._ You know what would make it even _more_ sick, though? _Enemy Infighting._ _Especially_ during the Launchpad Fight; that would have been a _dealmaker_ for me.
Man it looks like the NTTC set asides their difference with the mutated mess just to kill someone who's helping them remove the mess along the way

@@cooldude2722 didn't get what you meant by enemy infighting so I'm grateful for the clarification. Enemy infighting, at the launch pad especially, is a great suggestion & probably wouldn't be too difficult for the developers to implement. 🤞 they're reading this & take your feedback to ❤.
It's inspiring that indie developers are still creating games that make you want to play it. Unlike AAA "products" that mostly cause gag reflex.
To me most of the indie games are starting to look the same, pixelated "wholdie" shooter games with women MC as the AAA's

This is such an absolute gem. The art design: both background, enemies and movement is so lively and great! Not to meantion I dropped my jaw on the space shuttle transporter I mean they didnt just animate it start then have it fade to black and make a next cutscene then start the next level, the went for the country mile to include it in the same stage, Im whishlisting this right now!

I'm curious what do you mean by modern horror? Modern horror sucks & is nothing but jump scares & halfwitted social commentary. This game feels like 80s era cyberpunk horror like the original Terminator, or the anime Angel Cop,, & Cyber City. Everything about this game is retro except for the music which sounds like modern synthwave.

Flashback meets Contra: Hard Corps on the set of Blade Runner! The original Flashback also drew some of its influence from Blade Runner, but this goes a step beyond, even having apartments with those weird Egyptian-style (?) wall tiles. 24:23 Now there's a unique twist! You might expect a hybrid-genre game to combine Flashback and Contra with Life Force and Abadox, but this is more like Descent or Star Wars: Arcade! 26:20 "The big tally-ho! What an absolutely beautiful game. Fell in love with the art from the first frame.
I just tried the demo, and it's amazing. They literally created a game that I was wishing for, for a long time, a run and gun game where you use the right analog stick to aim independently of movement. I have no idea why this isn't implemented more often, it's the perfect control for a run and gun game. Ever since Abuse pioneered the method using a wasd and mouse control scheme, I had been hoping more devs would follow with a modern implementation of that control scheme using dual analog controls. This game finally does it! It's a ton of fun, the graphics are amazing too. Can't wait for the full release! I'm sharing this video on all the discords I go to

Aesthetically gorgeous. Great pixel art. Especially when you enter what appears to be a unholy temple. Also that space action section looked amazing with the 3d giant ship designs.

I hope so but you never know with these kinds of games..I just got hunt the night & am very disappointed by it...looked beautiful pixel art wise but it was very repetitious and jus fell flat
Interesting opening but pacing is way off. One moment she’s being told to go with escort, the next she decides to massacre them unprovoked, then she goes outside and starts fighting monster zombies… with no explanation. It’s like a page is missing from this story.
That's what I was thinking. That and it doesn't remind me much of any Space Opera I've ever seen. Though it is beautiful!

Game needs a compare stats system for dropped weapons, or you'll never know whether it's best to change out the guns or not. "No inventory space" doesn't help so much. I also think the common convention now is to allow reloading during rolls? I forget, otherwise you'll end up in a purgatory of rolling to safety without having a chance to attack pursuing enemies.
I totally agree that reloading when rolling should be allowed. It was getting a bit dicey for a while there! The game does actually have a way of comparing the guns. It's quite hard to do on-the-fly though. You go into your inventory system, grab a gun and hover it over another gun and it tells you the differences.
Theres got to be a way to get Phobos to roll with u @ the beginning...
