    • I have a cat that is arrogant beyond belief. When he got outside, and I caught him - While carrying him over to the house - he attacked me. I dropped him to the ground, and then he got on his back, sticking all 4 paws in the air while exposing his belly, like he was saying 'you aint going to do nothing about it'. If that isn't arrogance, I have never seen it. Got to love him.

  • I have a cat and a 5 year old Autistic son. The only time my cat has ever attacked any one was me. My son had a sensory meltdown when washing his hair. My cat thought I was hurting him and latched onto the back of my leg. Biggest problem people have is treating their cats like dogs and not respecting their boundaries.

    @latifx3944@latifx3944 Жыл бұрын
    • no, people's problem is not educating them, they adopt them saying it's "easy to take care of" and they're just there to annoy them, an uneducated cat being annoyed is a very bad idea especially since I doubt they even really love you. The cat must be educated just like dogs are educated, why do you educate your dog? because you know that one day he will become a beast and if he gets angry he will hurt you a lot. Cats are no different, people underestimate them for being small but those little teeth and claws go very deep and infect even worse, it's very important to educate them, one of the first things I taught him is that if he don't want to be touched he don't have to attacking, he won't achieve anything by attacking but when instead of attacking me he walked away or pushed me away with his paw I respected him and left him alone, now he's the kindest cat I have ever met and I didn't have to get big scratches because he was tiny and it didn't hurt me. Educating is loving and they know it well, they are incredibly intelligent.

    • @@yuushihara7550 yes definitely loving your cat at a young age can definitely make it a better cat. They won't attack you and they will be loving in there own way. But cats can definitely love people so I disagree on that part I had someone else's cat who they let outside, who basically decided that I was going to be his friend. I even named him, Tucker. Everytime we came home the cat would run up to the car while it was still driving and when you opened the door he would look for me. After a while he left and I didn't see him around. The dumb neighbors seemed to have gotten another cat that looked like him a brown tabby but he didn't act the same. One day I came home to see a cat on the other side of the stairs I when up to him and I found out it was tucker. He wanted to see me one last time.. I feed him. Pet him. Until I went inside. I haven't seen him since. I've had another cat before just like him and we had him in our house but he clearly wanted to be an outside cat. He had left for a long time but he came back for a while but then he left again, he was an older cat, he and my dog had a bloody fight when I wasn't even outside and it left my dog all bloody but he was fine. I'm just trying to say that cats can love people, even cats that aren't mine they come back to me to see Me one last time. Sorry this is so long I got ahead of myself Thanks if you read it :)

    • Yes, biggest mistake people do is treating cats like dogs but they are not the same. I heard an expert vet say that (generally speaking) dogs see us human as their "masters", but cats see us humans just like one of them like "bigger cats" that's why they are more independent; however, a cat can be a huge help for people with depression or special needs, there are many cases that people have been cured or immensely overcame depression because of a cat company. It's a mystery but it seems that cats have a sense that can determinate who needs special care.

    • Right. These “cat lovers” are so weird. I have a cat but my cat doesn’t treat me like a bitch. This is hugely subjective. My cat respects tf outta me and only ever attacked me out of curiousity or childhood rebellion. Some of these cats act as if they don’t even know what consequences are. Especially the ones who be harassing and scratching up the dogs while the owner just sits there and records.

    • @@christinabrown3322 yup. My youngest is a rescue from the edge of death as a toddler. I cleaned her eyes, bathed her, gave her meds 3 times a day and saved her life. Knowing cat behavior, I understand why she insists on sniffing everything I put in my mouth. This is why I am gently teaching her manners, and not letting her "steal" food off my plate or off my fork. I take a small piece of whatever I'm eating that is safe for her, let her sniff it, and she goes back on her way. We can be playing and she gets a little rough. As soon as I pick her up and pet her softly, she becomes limp and compliant. A soft touch, gentle voice, and consistency is needed to raise little furry assassins. I have two 8 year olds who have lived in the lap of kitty luxury since their horrific beginning. The 9 month old is learning how to be happy and spoiled. And, in the guest bedroom, I have stray almost 1 yr old who gave birth to two kittens a couple weeks ago. Been slowly working on her and she is now ready to be slowly introduced to my cats. I want her to be adoptable, so getting along with other cats easily is a must. When her kittens are old enough, I will introduce the other cats to them. Happy, well adjusted, socialized cats do not attack people out of the blue. Badly handled and maltreated cats do.

Picking them up as a baby also isn’t welcome. If you can’t read their body or listen to what they are clearly telling you , go get a dog or a rabbit.

    • Yes people just don't know how to live with cats very well. The guy at 0:37 was the perfect example. When a cat gets that close to your foot, you are supposed to kick it across the room before it can bite

      @PelosiStockPortfolio@PelosiStockPortfolio2 жыл бұрын
    • @@sinephase my 4 year old who earned her name pancake will let me hold her like that with one arm and go about my business with the other. She just hunkers in and watches and let's me know when she's done and I put her down. But I'm the only one that can hold her like that. But I also carried her around alot as a kitten in her name sake she'd be right under foot and would jump on the seat your going for midsquat and got sat on a few times. Another of our 4 doesn't like to be picked up at all. One loves being held where he can look over your shoulder and the other is kind of iffy about being picked up. All animals have their own preferences likes and dislikes. Switching to the main comment that includes dogs and rabbits they can both mess you up if you don't know how to read their signals. Any pet you have will give you signals good or bad. Switching species doesn't change that. That's how you get abused and neglected animals. The issue is with the person. If they can't read a cat's body language they're probably not going to be able to read a rabbit. We had a rabbit that wouldn't let you touch her. We had to handle her with leather gloves for our safety and one time I had to get her out of her cage while I was trying to get her secure she kicked. I got more beat up by that rabbit worse than the pitbull that grabbed me when I was a kid. She shredded my shirt and I had massive scratches across my entire torso. She was probably abused before we got her. A literal child would have been taken by that rabbit. Ie a parent who can't even care for a cat sees this and thinks a rabbit is better. Or they think dogs won't need their personal space and they bite someone after warning them several times to back off then get put down for being aggressive. This even goes for fish. There are alot of large fish that get turned over to rescues because people get them and don't know how big they will get and don't actually have the means to care for them. That's aside from the fact that goldfish are a literal pond fish that people keep in bowls. The masses are sold a lie that one it's ok to keep any fish in a bowl and/or no filtration Bettas get caught in this lie too. But why do you think half the Bettas in the cups are dead or half dead. It's because you can't actually plop a fish in a small container of water and feed it and expect them to live or thrive. Nothing should go in anything less than a filtered 5 gallon tank. and two that something like a goldfish will only grow to the size of it's tank. The truth is that goldfish require alot of care and destroy water balances because they produce so much waste. They also can have their body growth stunted but the reality is that even though their body stops growing their eyes and brain and other organs continue to grow until they literally smash the fish to death from the inside. Please don't encourage people who don't know what they're doing to get more animals that they still don't know what to do with. Instead encourage people to learn about pets they already have or consider not having/ getting more if they can't handle Taking the time to do so. Especially when it comes to more exotic pets as not only is there less information that's common knowledge compared to a cat or a dog there's also alot of common misknowledge about them spread about. Research should be done thoroughly before any pet enters the household.

  • Give your cat space and play with them. Keep them fed and comfortable. Don't force them to be held. Let them come to you and don't stair at them. Any real cat lover knows this. You should be prepared before getting a cat. Also, don't blame the cat. They are innocent. They are predator animals they need to hunt and play hard. They also sleep a lot. They like routine.

  • I'm the "crazy cat lady", I do some cat rescues, I've been the proud companion of dozens of the "touchy" critters in my life, have 6 of my own right now & 7 "stray" visiting food gobblers, & I speak FLUENT "cat". Gotta always remember - no matter HOW cute & cuddly they are, they have a strong streak of independence, & a need for personal space & privacy. Go poking & grabbing at a cat, & it's going to poke & grab & SWAT right back. If you value your eyes, watch the cat's. Don't put your face in front of it, if it has a cold, slightly detached stare, or if it's already annoyed. Trust me - it's already planning what it's going to DO to you. Just give them plenty of good food, lots of affection, & respect them like YOU'D want to be respected, & your cat will be a source of love & friendship as long as you're together. Be aware, though, that if you die in front of it, & no one comes for you and/or your cat, it WILL eat you.

Up to this day, the bite mark and the scratch from his claws did not disappeared from my skin. And then another case, currently there's one male cat of mine (different from up above), always tried to bite my feet because he wanted to mate, unfortunately my other female cats are not interested in him so.. I have to dodge him everytime I saw that coming.

    • the basic thing is, to communicate and understand what they want. Understanding animals(or even domestic ones) are tough, its one level more difficult than understanding opp sex. Although I feel, the human with a domestic animal will eventually suffer with this attack, maybe its meant to be. After all, its cats, i feel that they communicate like that, by hissing, swinging, biting at the ankle specifically and more. Cant skip this.
