Rest in peace, Robin Williams, he really made the Genie unforgettable, and one of his most iconic roles. It's almost a decade since we lost him.
I know! I was in eighth grade when it happened and I wish he got the help he needed. It's sad whenever a beloved celebrity can make everyone laugh or entertain in general, but can't find happiness for themselves.
@@kamsismith Yeah…
❤❤❤
He didnt make the Genie Unforgettable he MADE the Genie. While Dan Cestelanetta Voiced the Genie in Return of Jafar (Robin Left over Disney violating an Agreement), he Tried to hard to play the role like Robin did and kinda flopped because
@@kamsismith He had Lewy Body Dementia. There wasn't any help that would've made that go away. He did experience depression but that wasn't ultimately the reason he took his life, it was the incurable illness affecting his memory, language skills, visual perception, problem solving, ability to perform everyday tasks, ability to focus and pay attention.
The hula scene from “Lion king” never gets old 😂
aaaaaaare ya achin’ yup yup yup! for some bacon! yup yup yup! he’s a big pig! yup yup! you can be a big pig too!
😂 I couldn't agree more!
@@kimberlyrosslow9696 constantly had that one on rewind back then!
@@blind_t2 same! Lol! 😅
LUAU!!
RIP Robin Williams and Gilbert Gottfried, they really did give a wonderful performance to their characters that made them iconic.
I think we can all agree that Robin Williams's impersonation of the Genie is gonna make the #1 spot; he is a king of impersonation of sorts, after all.
Hours and hours of improv ended up on the cutting room floor
Impersonation? The fuck you think that word means?
I remember reading how Aladdin caused problems with writing credits because of Robin Williams’ improv
yeah, It's because it was almost impossible for the others actors to contain their laughter at every improvised Robin Williams' joke.
It was also contractual. Robin had it put in his contract that his recordings couldn't be used for promotion. That's why he didn't come back for the Aladdin series or Return of Jafar.
It would make sense to have given him a writing credit
Even if these particular animated movie moments are unscripted, They still played a big part in making these movies the iconic Masterpieces that we know them as today!
Robin Williams was the greatest voiced genie ever
And actor ❤
@@MsDisneylandlover Yes definitely
The improvised moments are the coolest and the actors who did it are also great. My favs are: The Genie, the hula scene never gets old for me, Olaf, Bruno in Encanto, The Hatter from Alice in Wonderland,
Samantha? I don't even know a Samantha...
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤@@davidchism6081
The first "Shrek" also won the first Oscar for best animated feature!
Although James Woods did a marvelous job being Hades; however, Jack Nicholson being a serious Hades in Hercules is one those "what if" moments that I would have been interested in seeing.
Genie moments are incredible and they were mostly unscripted!
R.I.P Robin Williams 😢
Ed Wynn was one of the actors approached to play The Wizard in the 1939 classic film The Wizard Of Oz, however, the role was too small for him. For Disney, he voiced the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland (1951) and portrayed Uncle Albert in Mary Poppins (1964). His performance as the Mad Hatter served as inspiration and reference for the character King Candy in the 2012 Disney animated feature film Wreck-It Ralph. Wynn died June 19, 1966 in Beverly Hills, California of throat cancer, aged 79. He was interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, and his gravestone reads "Dear God, Thanks... Ed Wynn". His granddaughter stated in her speech when accepting his Disney Legends award on his behalf that Walt Disney was a pallbearer at his funeral.
Achilles Heel in Hunchback of Notre Dame, Put that thing back where it came from in Monsters Inc, the Timon and Pumbaa doing the Hula in the Lion King, Samantha in frozen 2 are among my favorites in this list that still crack me up to this day as well as the legendary antics of both the late Robin Williams as genie and Gilbert Godfrey as Iargo in Aladdin 👍❤️😂
I see Robin, I click and I will start crying. I wish he got the help he needed. Sadly, the people who make us laugh always have unresolved inner turmoil hence the common cause of death for comedians are suicides and drug overdoses.
Not sure if you were aware, but he had Lewy body dementia (LBD). I believe he also had a Parkinson's diagnosis as well. If I recall correctly, some of those close to him believed he could not stand what was happening with his brain and he chose to go out on his own terms. Severe invisible depression is no joke (I speak from experience) and for sure he had mental health issues including depression. But the type of LBD he had and how his own brain/body was turning against him... Hard to say what my choice would be in that situation.
@@withlimiteddays6801 I know of LBD, I had no idea about how severe LBD is.
My top 5 funny animated movies with improv (by year) 1. Aladdin (1992) 2. Hercules (1997) 3. The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) 4. Kung Fu Panda Franchise (2008-) 5. Megamind (2010)
wait Jane Porter was Minnie Driver? the same actress of movie!PoTO La Carlotta? also just noticed Buzz Lightyear made the Vulcan salute (Kohanim blessing) after the "sad, strange little man" tbf Hades was a grave, "serious character" in the original myths, not to be messed with (e.g. the Chair of Forgetfulness punishment for Pirithoüs, when Herakles rescued his cousin Theseos during the Cerberos Labor) the only exception was with Orpheos when he pleaded for Eurydike's ressurection also didn't know Tulio & Miguel were Captain Phoebus & Gilderoy Lockhart
Is there EVER any doubt that Robin Williams makes the top of any list? Also, a very heartfelt RIP for Robin Williams
love these unscripted lines ❤
Hi, Emily, and what a great top this was. Have a happy sunday morning and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Number 1 should have said, " The whole damn thing."
The person at Mojo hq decided to start top 30s instead of only 10, deserves a raise!!!! Top 10 lists are too short!!!
"TTFN - Ta ta for now!" Tigger was the first text messenger, lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂yeah, pretty much!!!!!
7:33 I love that scene the actress did a good job of conveying all that sadness.
I never really watched the Hunchback when I was a kid because I didn't much get it, but as an adult, it's one of my favourites. I never caught "Achilles, heel," though. That's awesome.
Hunch Back is my favorite movie and Tiana is my favorite princess ❤
Do you ever think about how those scenes in Disney movies will play out in your head and then, all of a sudden when you're about to press play it somehow magically comes true! In addition your bursting out laughing where you've lost track of time! 😅 that's what Lion King and Aladdin have done for me. 🎉😅 #timelessness
I have raya and the last dragon. I love the movie. And the baby theif was and is adorable. And the water dragon was funny when she ate the spicy food.😮😊
I love that thanks to John Leguizamo's ad lib about rat telenovelas, a Tik Tok-er named Nicque Marina ran with it created an entire series about it, lol
James Woods is a legend
Why dont you Sit there and Runinate whikst i I-lluminate the Possibilities Always loved how he used that as a the Lead up to "Friend like me"
Hey Emily, I’ve got admission use it to top 10 under rated animated Disney sequels you forgot about

i'm a big of Kenneth Branagh and the road to a quote movie is the sword fight is not a quote and that is just clings
If I were you guys, I'd put Treasure Planet at the top ten and Frozen 2 and Encanto at the bottom.
Rip Robin W❤❤❤ So Miss Him❤❤❤😢 #DisneyDiva ❤
The story goes that when The Lion King had its H'wood premiere, that people were quite literally falling out of their chairs laughing. As comic relief, it was genius. I didn't think anyone could top it, until I played "Control"... but that's another listicle.
17:44 Look at Jordan from the Bernie Mac show 🥹
It ain’t all about the script these days
I never knew that was David Hyde Pierce voicing Doppler! I thought he was was only known for playing Niles
I love An't Cass she is super nice
shrek is just a masterpiece, even the translation to spanish is perfect
I’m so surprised, I’m moulting!
No. 27, you in the series that subsequently followed the events of the movie T.J. Miller was recast with Brooks Wheelan in the role of Fred there?
0:36 * in the etc. *. Also why are some people still celebrating Mr Miller AND S. B.- C.?! Eurghk.
It was cool AF seeing Ed Wynn acting the Mad Hatter, too bad the movie wasn't live action.
Bee movie was written by Seinfeld
Ive heard about this controversy of whatever or not the hospital scene in the dark knight was improvised or not.
I do not know
Imagine if Tom Sellek voiced Optimus Prime
How do they do adlib with cartoons
OK
Good Night Robin.
samantha?!?!
😂
For the millionth time, STOP PUTTING ROBIN WILLIAMS AS GENIE AT #1 ON LISTS LIKE THIS. STOP PANDERING AND CONFORMING TO POPULAR OPINION. START BEING LESS PREDICTABLE AND MORE ORIGINAL WITH YOUR RANKINGS. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO KEEP TELLING YOU THAT?
