As y'all know Mikayla recently received backlash for allegedly lying for a L'Oréal mascara sponsorship, well now it's looking like she may have done the same thing on an Essence Beauty sponsored post! She made a essence foundation/concealer review back in January/February stating the concealer did not have enough coverage and that she would pass on purchasing it and that she did not like the essence foundation shade range, well now she just got sponsored by essence and is stating that very concealer she would pass on has great coverage!

Exactly, that’s why I stop watching and subscribing to people like Stephanie Soo, gym enthusiast, cause they are ALWAYS sponsored and that lets me know they are promoting shit they don’t use.
Influencers should absolutely get paid. Never hand out free labor under capitalism bc capitalism doesn't care if you starve. But , Mikayla is a. Breaking the code of ethics of being a decent human being and b. Literally lying to her working class audience to grift even more from them while having more $$ than most of us will see in our collective lifetimes c. Breaking advertising guidelines and regulations that are in place to protect the consumer (something Mikayla cares nothing about apparently)
You are absolutely valid for feeling frustrated with the way the algorithm works! Sucks when you try to have a moral code and be ethical in the way you do things only for less ethical people to succeed more than you. I hate the way the Beauty space works cos they keep letting the same problematic people get away with things.

That essence concealer is my current concealer and I absolutely love it. It’s not full coverage but it covers my eye darkness to my satisfaction and it lasts all day. 🤷🏼♀️

You ever notice that multiple influencers start raving about a particular brand all around the same time? I've heard a bunch of them talk about essence recently.
I will tell you the essence mini bronzer and contour sticks are pretty good (hate the fake watermelon smell of them though) and the matte bronze palette is wild in pigmentation and blendability
no dude it's absolutely worth keeping your morals & staying honest. i know it's probably hard on the wallet but you can put a price on principles ya know? being a trustworthy & honorable person is way more important than being a sellout (at least to me! and i'm sure many others too!)

Opinions can change. But with her, she seems to change her opinion based on who's willing to pay her. She constantly goes back and forth on how she feels on a product and I can't trust her opinion or reviews.

We love Panama Joe’s!! We haven’t been there for sometime and wanted to go about two months ago, but the wait was almost an hour so we headed to another restaurant on 2nd.

I havent commented in a while but luv ive been watching since i was 15 years old and im 23 years old now it was watching xou and Peter and Roly and Luxeria that gave me the confidence to come out to my very religious family and not only did my dad automatically accept me he helped me tell my mom and explained things to her and im not saying she fully accepted right off but after my mom understood she got to where i could come to her and be open and honest and she said even in elementary school the only friend or 2 i had ended up being a part of the lgbt community and i mean even through highschool i only had 1 straight friend and my mom thought something was going on but now its making sense to her but i was surprised knowing my dad knew the whole time and he knew i would come to him when i was ready and i came out 3 years ago but i mean it makes me feel bad because i know my friends were not on speaking terms and my parents knew how upset we were and my parents ended up talking to some of my friends and let them know this is a safe space and to know they will always be Accepted and they are also very willing to listen and even let my friends know they are loved and accepted and they dont have to be scared or feel like they cant talk in confidence if they ever need to. And i will always be so fucking grateful that yalls channels helped give me the confidence and helped me not hate myself for it so i just wanted to thank you guys and my parents as well for being absolutely amazing and supportive

Honestly, I hated a concealer palette from NYX. It was all I could find in my top drawer and I was like ohhhh. It does work. So she liked their foundation I’m sure she was easily led to no longer pass
