Peach whipped cream cake with flavorful peach compote

Hi, I am Joconde
Today's cake is peach whipped cream cake.
I've made a lot of peach cakes in the meantime, but this is my first time making whipped cream cakes.
Many people wanted me to make a peach cake, so I made it.
For a while, the peaches at the supermarket weren't tasted good, but it's not raining these days, so its tastes became better.
For this cake, I used my favorite peach compote.
But this time I added different ingredients. You can buy it at the market.
Even flavorless peaches become delicious. Please, check it out in the video.
For peaches, I used ripe but firm peaches.
I think it is good to make compote with firm peaches and use them in a whipped cream cake. Pretty pink is made by putting peach peel together. The syrup will have nice color. I used to use the same method in my peach cake video a long time ago.

Prepared three 1.5cm thick Genoise sheets (15cm in diameter).In this video, the making process is omitted. Because it is a very basic sheet that has been covered in many videos.
But for those who need it, I'll give you the recipe below.
I think peaches go well with yogurt whipped cream.
Plain yogurt and yogurt powder added to heavy cream.
I used the syrup from peach compote to smear the sheets.
I also made peach jelly for decoration. Jelly is also very tasty.
Pink peach jelly made the cake peachy and summer feel.
Let's make peach whipped cream cake!
Ingredient
♥︎ Peach compote
2 ripe and firm peaches (about 246g each)
85g sugar
200g rose champagne
250g water
1 cinnamon stick (5cm, optional)
A few basil leaves (optional)
♥︎ Peach Syrup Jelly
170g peach compote syrup
10g sugar
5g gelatin
♥︎ Yogurt Cream
390g heavy cream (38% milkfat)
35g sugar
20g yogurt Powder
80g plain yogurt
♥︎ Syrup
Peach compote syrup 70g
♥︎ Genoise (15cm)
90g cake flour
1g salt
140g eggs
90g sugar
35g milk
20g butter
4g vanilla extract
♥︎ Others
Marjoram herb for decoration
♥︎ Tools
Dome cake scraper (10X5cm)

  • I’m going to be making this cake for my older brother one day. He loves pink and peach flavoured everything, I really want a way to thank him for being such an amazing brother. I do a lot of baking, cookie trays, cakes for all occasions including weddings, and this would be an amazing cake as part of a typical American tiered wedding cake, or a beautiful stand alone as a small simple cake for an anniversary, renewal of vows, or for any special time to remember.     • @@Kitsudoku I used to network with other bakers across the USA, but that outlet seems to have dried up. ☹ A word of caution for you, if you think you will be saving money by ordering a small tiered display wedding cake and have cupcakes or sheet cakes in the back to supplement service, you are not saving any money that way. Most bakers charge by the feeding slice, (for example one layer of a tiered wedding cake) so an 8" round double layer filled cake has around 16 slices if my memory serves me right: flavor of you choice, filling of your choice, typical buttercream icing (there may be a markup for fondant), and reasonable icing decorations again in buttercream (may have another markup for fondant or gumpaste flowers) is going to cost you a flat fee say $5.00 a slice, so that tier would be at least $90. If you work out an inexpensive tiered cake price, it is also not going to to have many slices to it. (I always gave the top tier, the wedding anniversary tiered for free to my clients, it is worth asking if your baker will do the same) If you then order a bunch of cupcakes from the same baker, you are going to get charges the same slice fee as the tiered slice. Same with a sheet cake, regardless if there is filling or not in any of those choices. The only way around that would be to get the supplementary confections from a different baker or grocery store, and be firm on someone picking them up from their location, and not setting them up at the reception hall until after the wedding baker has set the wedding cake and has left the premises.   • Beautiful. Whipped cream frosting smokes any other frosting I've had. I used to go to regular grocery stores for bday cakes and one day I went into a Korean store and bought a fruit topped cake with WC frosting. I've never been the same since. Well, old-fashioned caramel cake frosting is to die for, too, but its in its own category. :)

    • I agree with that sentiment. I hate the cakes here in the us with butter cream icing but i have found ways around that. Rither using whipped cream for the frosting like this video, or i use the frosting recipe i was given. Its the consistency of butter cream but about the same sweetness as homemade whipped cream. Its perfect.

  • i didn't know there was such a thing as yogurt powder! I'm not a huge fan of most icings and frostings on cakes but have always liked whipped cream in place of heavier frostings, I'll have to try making it the way you did here some time. that cake looks delectable!

    • Please don't. Although it looks good and very presentable at any high end restaurant, the taste is super bland which is common for pretty much all Korean pastries. Might wanna look for something else, although if this is just going to be for you and not meant to be eaten by anyone else then go ahead I guess.

  • Where I come from, peaches have orange skin and are yellow inside. It's always so interesting to see different variations of the same fruit. Also, this cake looks so delicate... I love it.

    • You can also get white peaches in Spain! I've bought them in Barcelona before but they're not as common as yellow peaches. In big supermarkets or on weekly markets it should be possible to get them
