This Trucking Game may not be a view from inside the cab, but it's the most realistic physics that a truck makes where you get to understand how to truck operates in reverse. American Truck Simulator (ATS)and European Trucking Simulator 2 (ETS2) are the best trucking games that you get, and I recommend that you play them, but my game is created for people to just get used to reversing a trailer.
I have heard from so many users that truck schools across the country use my game and use my videos to show their students how to back up.

I've never driven a truck but I find myself mesmerized by the detail and concentration required to position these trucks in narrow spaces. Before you know it, I've subscribed and will now pay more attention around trucks. They've earned my respect thanks to this video.

In 35 years of trucking, I seldom parked in rest areas longer than an hour. Enough to catch a nap, do paperwork and use the bathroom. Rule of thumb never park in a place that has 4 wheelers. I've known drivers robbed and even killed by criminals. In truck stops, 4 wheelers driving in truck packing are usually watched by truckers as it is not usual for them to be there also most truck stops have some measure of security to keep the lot lizards out. Not so with rest areas.
So you're saying rest areas have lot lizards? I'm just asking for a friend.

Well there use to be a big Rest Area on interstate 85 south in Kings Mountain NC and I’ve witnessed a state trooper pull thru it and the lizards came out of that rest area like rats off a burning ship!!
I’m 15 days in my trainer and he is usually sleep when I’m driving and need to find a rest area I’ll tell u right now I wouldn’t have even attempted that I would have kept on driving to see if I can find a better rest area with more space

Lol funny this happens to me a lot. I hate those guys that either park all the way back or forward now you can’t get in or out .
One thing I also learned, curbs can take out a mud flap, just be aware.

Great video. My rule of thumb was to swing as wide as possible, and it usually works out fine. I agree that I was always scared of going into the auto parking area, but that never happened.

I drive coaches and would love to have a game Like this to practice on. Busses are quite different to semis with longer overhangs front and back and no articulation. But love this game for practice as well. Thanks.

I'm figuring out, by playing ATS, that the nine-axle lowboy needs your truck squared _plus one-half truck length_ . For when you approach from the left or the right of a target parking spot in front of you. You square up the truck plus half-a-length in front of the truck on the left or the right corner of the target.

I drive trucks and I'm learning things I nvr thought about
I've been avoiding rest areas since I've only seen someone park in one where there were 3 spaces available and they just chose the middle. Since I just drive local I don't really need a rest area, and when I see them at 7am they are so crowded that trucks are parked on both ramps as well. This video gave me some confidence on practicing them now.

I have a request, please let me know if u already did a video demonstration, but if u have ever been to a Petro truck stop they have slanted parking and you can't always do a pull throw, could u do a video on how one should set you the backing maneuver for these types of spots please and thank you.

I've seen some rest areas with trailers all over the place. I had to back up and go through car entrance to leave.
Some people are oblivious to the fact that there blocking the through way in the rear... I usually don’t go to rest areas but my co driver did so we just asked the guy blocking to move up a few feet.

Id be doing GOAL maybe twice attempting this. And i have no shame. Night time, dont wanna hit anybody. Im just trying to park as safely as possible.
Nightmare! Great job with the video and tutorial… however I tend to avoid rest areas because of the very scenarios described here. Tonight is a great example of the nonsense thats out there. Glenwood Canyon here in CO got shut down and everyone was diverted to a rest area until i70 reopened… pure insanity. And yeah had to knock on the door to say I got to get out. People pulling way too far forward!

@@MyTruckingSkills o No problems , I keep playing and practicing with the 40 or 53 foot trailer then i switch to the 28 then it feels much easier should I keep doing that or no I just got my permit and learning everything new

People with cars should watch this because some of them tend to make truckers life harder by ignorance. I would make mandatory for the car driving schools to require the future driver to spend 4 hours with a trucker.
Just tried this for the first time at a rest stop in Florida. And failed. Tried it a second time turning into the left instead of right on the other side. Failed again. I cannot see any way to get wide enough for me to get into one of these spaces this way at this rest stop and do not understand how some of these other drivers have done it. Seriously, I was tires on the curb wide when I started.
Stay out of truck stops and rest areas. Get a fuel and shower early in the day. Find nice rural parking at night. If your on the east coast..... Sorry about your luck!

That park before the parallel park, I felt you “cheated” by asking the nearby truck to back up. I’m in a utility with a trailer and often find that cars park close to you and then go off to the shops. No one to wake up. If you had to back up from that position, you cant see what’s on the far side of your trailer. Am I going to scrape the trailer on the right as I back up and am I just wedging myself deeper?
I know this video is old but you should try the welcome center to Massachusetts on 95 South out of NH... The spots are way too small and no room to swing properly for 53' trailers
Maybe next u could show them how to stay off the centerline and how to not obstruct freedom? Thx

I am a truck driver, and I also make games. I would like to work with you on trucking game.
NEVER use a spotter. If they screw up and you hit something, its still your fault. Also, sometimes they think they're helping, then are dumb enough to stand behind the truck instead of off the right front. Then you're at risk of running them over.

Rule #1 when it comes to parking at a rest area… Don’t park at a rest area. The end.
I had an opportunity to get an empty spot at these rest area with trucks parked on the wall. It was basically impossible to get into the space. There's no room to swing out to get into the space. I had to back out and give it up.
What if that guy too far forward refusrs to move because it will interupt his 10 hour 😂

PLEASE don't feel guilty or excuse yourself for over explaining a technique. We need those OVER EXPLANATIONS. In our stupid culture, we have the phrase TMI which is pure garbage. I teach math and I over explain to the infinite degree until the student truly understands. Not a nod as if it is expected but true understanding. My supervisors (the admin) would not like it that I spent so much time on one topic. I am now in the position that I benefit from over explanations since parking has been laborious and painful for me. The over explanations point to the FACT that when reversing the tractor (front and rear) and trailer (front and rear) have different turns. Parking is NOT easy at all. Extremely difficult and I have gotten much better to the point of confidence but still haven't had to park between two trailers yet.
