In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
The shot where Frank says the teabags should be wet and then cuts immediately to Romesh realising the same thing is still one of my favourite pieces of editing.

Tim Key's shout of unbridled joy at his success is just beautiful. All his planning, forethought, work, and preparation coming into fruition in one magnificent throw. Flawless planning and flawless execution. No convoluted redefinition of what a mug is, just simple and smart. It's enough to make a grown man cry.
it isn't often in TM that a contestant has a plan and it works flawlessly _and_ they win the task but this was one of those times.

It’s so subtle but when Ed globs the milk into the tea like a water cannon, Katy says “Ooh, it’s a frothy one!” and it floors me every time 😂😂😂😂

Usually if there is a secret nobody found out, they point it out at the show (such as “Under the Table” or “You can’t blink if you don’t open your eyes”)
I'd guess if there was they didn't reveal it so they could use the same trick on a future task. It was funny enough without showing the location of the key, so they saved it! I would also really like to know though XD
