This is the Audi car of the future called the Audi Skysphere and I am the first person in the World to drive one!
The futuristic car has a moving steering wheel, fully autonomous driving and looks incredible. Is this the coolest Audi in the world? Is this the coolest car in the world? This concept car joins the Audi Grand Sphere in a sustainable, elegant and futuristic approach to the car world.

This is the problem with recent cars. They look great when u drive em out of the showroom. But all that electronic stuff has a service life of 3 maybe 5 years. A little longer as the absolute max. Then you take it to the garage/dealer because a sensor is playing up. The franchise don't give a stuff because they want u to buy a new car. Plus instead of old school mechanics, its "fitters". And take it to an idnependent and they won't have the kit to repair and lead u on a merry dance. I know people who got shot of 1 or 2 yr old "prestige" German cars because main dealers simply can't handle sensors that play up. They aren't over engineered, they are BADLY engineered. For all this "sustainability" and "quality car marques", cars have become more disposable than ever. Its absolutely ridiculous because buying "quality" cars, we expect them to last and be reliable. As "quality cars" used to be.
@Cristian Lima But when it doesn't last, it becomes seen as "the latest gimmick". Not a high quality car. U might as well buy a Peugot instead of what were once perceived as dependable Mercs, Bentleys etc. I don't mind spending the money, but I like the idea of having a car 10 yrs or more, on the understanding its top quality, dependable and reliable. Not some nonsense with sensors packing up every 2 months.
The main problem is who will take the liability when an accident happens in autonomous mode! This will never be street legal unless we stop owning cars.
I look both ways before crossing a one-way street. That’s how little faith I have left in humanity

This is arguably the coolest concept car I've seen in my life as of 2022.
Horch in German means "listen!" (imperative) and when four companies merged to become Audi (hence the four rings) they took the name of the biggest company, Horch, and translated it into Audi which is actually latin for the imperative form of "to listen" so "listen!". And it sounds like "Auto" (German for "car").
Exactly right. Most people don't know this, including Audi owners. I always joke it means Auto Union Deutscher Ingenieure. HAHA. It doesn't of course!

@@MaticTheProto as is the case with most concept cars, I feel the technology we see in this car will be seen in cars in the near future. the 1988 Pontiac banshee concept car never went into production sadly, but the technology that was shown in that car is seen in most cars today.
@@DaniSmith_95 the issue is: this is insanely impractical, prone to malfunctions and useless for everything except showing off. No car manufacturer would take this risk, especially with the associated price tag. Believe me, I‘m studying something car related

I saw it Vienna, Austria on Christmas vacation a few days ago. That car looks awesome up close.
Audi means “Listen!” (Imperative) in Latin, not “to listen”. And fun fact: “Horch!” also means “Listen!” in German.

I owned an Audi A4 V6 some time ago, mechanically a very solid car. Unfortunately the electric systems were so bad that it almost got me killed, it was a 15 year old car but the electric system failed on the motorway shutting the engine of at 150 kmph and locking my steering. Lucky for me I had 3 miles of straight street to let the car run it out. I have driven old cars before, none ever tried to kill me until this one. Never ever Audi!

I would like to complete your start of telling the history of this brand :) August Horch was the founder of the brand "Horch". He left his own company because of less company shares. After that he founded a second brand, also named "Horch", but he wasn't allowed to hold this name, so he translatet his name from german into latin "audi", what both (horch - german and audi - latin) means "to listen". The logo with the four rings was set with the merger of the four brands Audi, Horch, DKW and Wanderer. This group called itself "Auto Union". Later the brand Audi took over the logo from the "Auto Union"

I think you are partially correct. As I understand it, Audi, Horch, DKW and Wanderer were the four companies that made up the Auto Union whose logo was the original 4 rings with each ring containing an emblem of one of the 4 companies. The Auto Union later became just Audi which maintained the 4 rings we know today.
Audi means Horch in latin. This is the name for these 4 companies getting together.
