They announced a few weeks ago they were scrapping the numbered names and going back to just "Nothing Ear"
Because they want to follow Apple's nomenclature
They're pulling a microsoft
This will be called Nothing Ear (2024) just like Apple Did with their Se, iPad Pros, and macs

I just got phone 2 as a gift. Really like how it feels in the hand, performance is top notch at always. I wish nothing would introduce a phone in the future, one having a headphone jack and a sd card slot. It would be a killer!
Ngl pretty disappointed they're already going off the rails with naming. There was absolutely no reason to drop the numbering with such incremental improvements and a near identical visual design.

Using CMF buds pro for a long-time good sound and call quality overall 8/10 because please add a custom control to nothing app to do nothing when keeping on hold.

Still waiting update for Nothing Phone (1) to fix the battery life which has gone bad after i think OS 2.0. Also the camera sometimes captures indoor light flickering in photo & video, any way to fix it ?
maybe use expert mode and change shutter speed manually

Nothing Phone (1) is 2 years old already, if you have bought it on release maybe its just time for a new battery?
@CrisCheese_ battery life was significantly worse on 4G mobile data campare to wifi, after one OS update which i think is 2.0. Thought the issue is with software optimisation/mobile data but not the battery itself. Just google "Nothing Phone 1 battery drain" there are lots of complaints about this on the official community forum

Yeah they fixed all the shortcomings of the ear 2 and as someone who has both ear 1 and 2, I am already quite happy with them, the new ones just look way better

As an owner of the first gen nothing ear, I want to say: Your naming/versioning convention is confusing me a lot. Showing them in a table with release years would make it more clear. Still love my ear (1)

I don’t understand why there are such negative comments. They are sticking to their roots. They are creating competition. This is good! They are actually doing something exciting. Freaking phone companies are coming out with all the same crap year after year. Nothing is actually making something new. Sure, it has flaws, but new things come with flaws.

People who are on nothing about not releasing features immediately to all phones need to chill. It's a smaller company. They're working hard. It needs to be integrated into the different hardware layers. It's complicated but they're on it and it keeps coming out

I bought these and really wanted to like them. However, the transparency mode is the worst I've experienced on any earbud. If they could fix the transparency mode they would have a near perfect product. For some reason high-pitched noises are amplified into your ears. Also, nothing's return process is the worst drawn out unnecessary process I've ever experienced. I will never buy another product from them.

If you charge the case for ten minutes you get 10 hours of battery life. It's a metric that a lot of companies use xd
