  • That sled is a keeper now. It's completely overhauled from top top bottom. Karla's probably will get thousands of my miles of smiles out of it. 👍🏻

    • I agree Brad. 👍🏼 THe look on my face at the end when I was messing with the odometer and switched it from km to Miles and realized it only has 3,201 miles on it instead of 5100+ miles 😁

    • Thanks Jim, It was a really fun project to work on.. At the end of the video after I started up the sled, did you see me looking confused at the odometer?? It was set to km's. I pushed and held the button and it went from km's to miles and the sled actually only has 3201 miles on it.. Not 5,153 miles like advertised when I bought it 😁

  • Great job on the whole series! That is going to be very reliable. You should make a quick clip booting it around the yard when we get snow.

    • Thanks Paiste, That was the plan but we lost a lot of snow on the lawn yesterday from the sun so she didn’t want to get the sled dirty. 😁 Looking quite promising for this next storm coming. 🤞🏼

  • Great Series! That thing mint now! It's going to be a nice sled to run around on. We are hoping to ride Saturday down here in Pennsylvania if this storm comes through for us! Looking forward to more videos, and I am looking forward to making a few of my own!

    • Thanks Adam, The wife is looking forward to riding it now that it’s finished. If you watched at the end when I was messing with the odometer I was looking at it oddly. It’s because when my wife purchased the sled it was listed as having 5,100+ miles on it but when I was messing with the button it changed over from km’s to miles and it only has 3,102 miles on it. 👍🏼 Yes, I see this storm is suppose to drop some nice snow if it holds true.. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 THINK SNOW and Take Care.

  • She's ready to ride. That's a good feeling to know you've got a reliable sled to ride. Hope your wife enjoys it. Did you sell the gen 4 ski doo ?

    @MBTUE@MBTUE Жыл бұрын
    • Hey Mark, She’s looking forward to riding that Rev. Yeah.. I sold the 900T. It was too heavy for her to ride so she bought the 550f and I didn’t need 3 sleds.

      @SometimeIsNow@SometimeIsNow Жыл бұрын
    • @@SometimeIsNow Good decision. I think she'll like that sled. I was thinking of the same for my daughters. Something light and fun. I sold the Polaris touring they were riding it was big but they liked it. So I was thinking next year a fan cooled sled for them. Hard to find a good one though.

      @MBTUE@MBTUE Жыл бұрын
    • @@MBTUE I agree, Finding that older, nicer cared for Skidoo 550f is getting harder to find these days. The 550f will make a perfect sled for your kids.👍🏼I am still amazed at how much lighter these fan sleds are compared to the newer liquid cooled sleds. I have a video coming out soon that I weighed a bunch of sleds on my race scales and the ole 550f crushed them all. I weighed the 2005 550f, 2020 Renegade XRS 900T, 2022 Mach Z 900R, 2022 Polaris XCR 850 and my 2022 AC T-cat.. Of course all the 4 strokes are heavy, there's no secret there. 😁 Take Care buddy.

  • I like mirrors on my sled also. It is just much nicer to keep track of those behind me. Did you ever show how to align the track or did I miss it?

    @justflylow@justflylow Жыл бұрын
    • I agree. I always like using the so called "big ugly" mirrors on my sleds also.😁 I typically lead and I like to keep track of the people riding with me. Unfortunately my GoPro has been causing me alot of grief lately and not turning on when I hit the button or turning on and not recording which is very frustrating. So It didn't record the alignment footage or repacking the jack shaft bearing. "Sometimes" the struggle is real.. LOL Take Care and thanks for watching the project to the end. THINK SNOW ❄

  • What product did you use on the hood to bring that finish back?

    @snowclips9@snowclips9 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey snowclips9, Thanks for stopping by the channel. To be honest, the hood is just that bright and clean. The previous owner always kept the sled under a cover when not being used. I did wax the sled after I was done with turtle wax spray wax just to protect it from he UV's and to bead up the water when it's out in the snow. Take care and THINK SNOW ❄
