  • This version has an almost ethereal feel that the english doesn't. The original feels more intense and hard hitting, while this is floaty and almost soft, but in the most delicious way possible.

    • THIS. Absolutely this. And it really allows the grief of the story to shine through, giving it a bittersweet lullaby feeling, almost like a sweet voice serenading the death of your love while you danced along a cloud of ignorance and naivety. Overall a beautiful version of the song that I personally prefer over the original.

  • For those who don't know Japanese, it starts with: "Please keep it secret from your mother. Your father's secret is disgusting(unholy)" instead of "Mummy don't know daddy's getting hot At the body shop, doing something unholy". Honestly, I am amazed by how the lyrics are changed and still make sense! Good cover ❤

    • No offense I mean it is beautiful that they made the song But if the lyrics aren't exactly the same then it's not a cover the definition of a cover means it has to be the exact original song resang and if it's not the original lyrics and they had to change the lyrics to turn it into Japanese then it's not a cover it's just an original version

    • I have never even heard the original so when I listened to this for the first time, I had absolutely no idea what Shayne and Ali were saying. Until later, I found the original a week after Shayne released this version. Even if I heard the original before, I still don’t understand Japanese but Japanese and Chinese are my complete favorite languages I want to learn someday.
