Today, we’ll be discussing What If Broly listened to Goku in Dragon Ball Super Broly? For those of you who may be a bit confused, in Dragon Ball Super Broly, Goku obviously fights Broly, but during the battle Goku unveils a new technique - the God Bind. This technique is used in his Super Saiyan God form and holds the target in place. Goku uses this time that the berserking Broly is held still to talk to the titular character. Goku tries to talk Broly out of what he’s doing here, in the movie he didn’t listen, but what if he had?

Hey Carthu, I had an idea for what if which I think is pretty interesting. That is what if Goku and Krillin opened up a own martial arts Dojo, I was thinking that they could open it up after Goku defeated Piccolo Jr in the 23 world martial arts tournament. I think it would be interesting change, due to the fact that there would be more humans who can utilize Ki around to help the Z-fighters defend earth.

I actually disagree with frieza being stronger yes he fought Broly for a whole hour, but it seems you missed something, he didn't fight him he was being beaten around and was essentially a punching bag, he never competed with Broly, the fact he still had his armor was proof of that.

I think the reason Goku and Vegeta couldn’t fight Broly for as long as Frieza because the movie was cut short, did no one else notice how quickly Vegeta took a ton of damage? The scenes of Frieza fighting Broly was extremely short and it was comedical breaks for the Gogeta fusion attempts

Here it is what if goku was the legadary super Saiyan
While Super Saiyan 2 takes more energy than 1, Goku can still effortlessly hold the form almost as if it was his base form. Also Frieza is very durable, but not as strong as the saiyans.
He even says in the movie he's scared of the two of them
Frieza at best is SSB Vegeta level, but Vegeta can still use his Evolution Blue form.

Okay, 1st thing... Frieza was not "ABLE" to take a beating... He just couldn't run away because of the powerful barrage as he couldn't find any openings. However both Goku and Vegeta constantly kept finding openings to recollect themselves. Thats why it seemed like they were at a disadvantage, while they were just better in actual combat than both Brolly and Frieza. Goku and Vegeta fought brolly for more than 5 hours according to the movie, while beating him down and also getting beaten down, while frieza just experienced a one sided pounding. Since Frieza couldn't lay even a single hit on Brolly, his power didn't grow as a compensation... Now tell me... Whos really stronger?

The power scaling is so off on the what if. Ssjb x20 is way stronger than Frezia, SSbE is way stronger than Frezia too. Two SSb are enough to defeat Frezia.

I wanna say that this is probably one of my favorite scene in the movie, if not all of Dragon Ball Super, it's basically Goku trying to make peace with the opponent but he actually knows that Broly isn't evil and can be good. He was super gentle with how he fought Broly rather than the aggressive constant punching, in a way therapeutic because it's how we would normally calm down an angry person, rather than yelling them to calm down. And it's mid battle instead of end, so he still has the strength to turn it around instead of when his powers are gonna run out. Goku was "dumb" in this movie but not in a... mentally challenged way, just "uhh what's that mean" kind of dumb.
Frieza can take a beating, but he can't beat Vegeta and Goku. Durability and Melee and Ki power is not the same thing,
Frieza took hella punishment on Namek. He’s more durable then any Saiyan. Remember Resurrection F? When he was revived as mince meat. He survived Future Trunks slicing him to pieces. Frieza’s durability is ridiculous. He can survive Goku and Vegeta fighting him at once. Easily He would outlast them overtime

Freeza must've been training his ass off since the ToP. Like, he got the type of boost that Goku got between earth and namek... which I guess you could say happened, considering his immense potential. But that's the only way you can convince me that Freeza, who was about equal to SSB Goku at the *start* of the ToP -- that is, pre Zenkais from Jiren's asswhoopings and UI and shit -- managed to catch up to and match SSBKKx20 Goku *and* SSBE Vegeta along with Broly.

This should honestly be an idea that should be canon in a future arc. I mean they CAN revive Paragus and let Broly live on Earth, would have made better sense. Plus I really like the idea that Paragus sort of becomes a tutor for their kids, because god Toriyama has really let his lore and characters fall wayside to what can really be a rich and deep dynamic and story compared to what we have

I would argue the god bind really isn't a new technique, but the same one master roshi used all those years ago back in dragon ball to restrain goku. A nod to the past, as that one scene was meant to do just that.

Frieza isn’t stronger because he was able to take a beating. His power barely changed because he doesn’t train. He was able to take a beating for so long because of his race and incredible ability to survive intense situations. For example, the explosion of Namek.

4:19 I got a problem with using the idea of freiza doing something like this in the sort of "well in the movie it happen so it happens here" scenario. It would be a more easier factory of a stalemate or to say well it happen so we could use broly to help them finish Freiza.

I disagree with some power levels here, but damn, Vegeta asking for Paragus to teach the newer generation is such a good take on things.
I like to imagine that when Goku and Vegeta are fighting Frieza for the Dragon Balls, he has them circling around him and uses them as Weapons, launching them at Goku and Vegeta because he knows they have to take the hit or risk breaking them

To give insight on the powers scaling for this video you haft to compare the tournament of power feats to the ones expressed by movie. The tournament of power was 48 minutes and by that time at the end of the tournament Frieza and Goku were exhausted to the point where they couldn’t access their top forms, but in the Broly movie unlike the tournament of power Goku and Vegeta had to flee where as Frieza went through an hour beat down by a blood lusted Broly and survived well still in his Golden form. As of now Goku and Vegeta together haven’t shown a similar feat and although the consistency doesn’t make sense it still is a power scaling feat
Personally I dont think Frieza could fight off both SSB goku and Vegeta. In the movie he really didnt fend of Broly for a hour more of getting smacked around and trying to run. Maybe in a 1v1 he could fend of vegeta or goku eventually slowly but I doubt he can fight off both with ease. But it's your channel u do what you want. Comment on what u think.

Freeza has always been quite durable, I mean look at Resurrection F, he was basically just paper shreds when he was revived and he still didn't die then, and then you have Namek, which after a beating from a Super Saiyan, cut off legs, tail and an arm, and a final blast to the face before the planet exploded, he still survived.
