  • Even if this is a massive diversion, it will force Ukraine to re-divert forces that are badly needed in the south and will very likely lead to their lines crumbling faster.

    • So far it’s a question of who has diverted more forces to Kharkiv. That seems to be a large number of Russians if they are only meant to be a diversion.

    • @@chrissmith7669Diversions work in favour of the numerically superior force. Russians seem to be fine with pressing on multiple fronts at the same time. Like before this, they were pushing at chasiv yar, abdiivka and zapo fronts at the same time, WHILE this grouping was up north sitting and waiting. So this diversion wasn't enough to weaken Russian offensive posture. On the other hand, any Ukrainian reinforcement from these fronts to Kharkiv is going to present opportunities for the Russians to break through into less fortified areas

      @Asfandyar_@Asfandyar_12 күн бұрын
    • @@Asfandyar_ Problem for Russia is that their force up north had to travel a significant distance to get in place. Ukraine’s reaction force had a much shorter distance. Ukraine is far better positioned to resist probing along the northern front than Russia is to shift units for the attack. If a significantly smaller Ukrainian force can tie up those Russian forces long enough for their main force to go on the offensive further south the Russians will have travel further to react. Doesn’t seem a solid plan.

  • Tularaemia is a zoonotic disease caused by the gram-negative bacterium Francisella tularensis, which is endemic to Ukraine. The aim of this work was to provide screening of different field samples (rodent tails, ticks, pellets, water, and hay) to obtain an actual picture of the tularaemia epizootic situation in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Mykolaiv oblasts.
