I get tired of people saying that Coldplay now is trash. they are still better than most of pop music nowdays. Coldplay i think its smart of them trying to sound different every album. if you don't like this album, maybe you will like the next one.

Well, we can all agree that Mylo Xyloto was at least the most UPBEAT album to date. And this isn't just sounding different, the singer got a divorce on bad terms which is why he's being like this. But don't let it break your heart, even though every teardrop is a waterfall and it was a major minus, he'll get over it eventually.

My dad played this with a radio on a 2012 Peugeot 508. He liked it. I also. It was Saturday, 24 February 2024. It was likely cold, but it was sunset. The time was 6:40 PM. We still feel magic to make us warmer.

I know how some people dislike this song because it's not as deep as, say, Yellow, The Scientist, Paradise, Viva la Vida, Clocks, etc etc etc. But I feel like Coldplay hasn't changed that much. The music is still good, background music still catchy, Chris is still a good singer, song's still got that haunting feel to it... And I love how everything is expressed through the belief in Magic. It's true. It is good that the band is innovating it's sound. Good bands through time have changed their styles. For example, Queen. If you listen to Bohemian Rhapsody, and then to Radio Ga-Ga or Invisible Man, you'll notice it's not the same sound, but it's still Queen, just like Coldplay is doing now.
People keep complaining about everything about Coldplay. First all their songs all the same, then they changed directly, Midnight was supposed to be them selling out, blah blah blah. I love this song. I've loved everything that came out of Coldplay. I think all the criticisms come from people who don't listen to them all that much.

Coldplay said "We Never Change", however "The Hardest Part" for every Coldplay fan is probably when they release a new album with out a "Warning Sign", we feel like we have gone back to "Square One". Having to get used to their new "Speed of Sound", frankly, "Hurts like Heaven". I'm sure every Coldplay fan feels like this but "Don't Let It Break Your Heart", this isn't some "Twisted Logic", they haven't "Lost!" who they are. While waiting for their new album "Don't Panic" it will be like "Paradise"! :)

(The 3rd album is in the same genre as the first 2) I understand, but sometimes it's better to try out something new
If what they have been doing so far has been working there is no need to totally change it up like this unless they are getting bored. Either way if this means a tour I'm there I'll support them because they play a hell of a show. Plus they are a great band doing good things on and off the stage.
Schimpy99 To be honest, i love all four albums except Mylo Xyloto. But the first two were definitely the best, i could hear all day every track from these albums. They are absolutely wonderful. The third and fourth are very good too. But Mylo Xyloto is a completely mistake IMO. I hate pop style, i hate song with Rihanna... I really hope that new album will be different.

This whole album is so fantastically bizarre when compared to their previous releases. It's different and I don't think that's a bad thing. The whole album sounds like a sort of "in between" release, almost as if it's an experimental album to hold people over for their next, larger sounding release. Pretty cool.

I have never liked Rihanna, I think she's horrible to her fans and undeserving of the success she has, so hearing her on that song was strange. She sang fine, but I got the impression that coldplay were moving on to wider (stupider) audiences, but as long as they keep away from the trashy artists like Bieber, Minaj and Cyrus, they should be fine. I wouldn't expect them to though.
