Ben Askren looks back at KO loss vs. Jorge Masvidal | Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show

2019 ж. 7 Шіл.
2 558 518 Рет қаралды

Ben Askren joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to look back at his knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 239 in Las Vegas. Askren says he doesn’t have memory of the knockout, but has watched it. Askren believes he would’ve earned a title shot with a win, but doesn’t think that Masvidal will get one vs. Kamaru Usman despite the flying knee knockout.

    • @fabrizzio monsalve Apparently, she wasn't ready for WWE either, where fans are probably even worse than MMA fans. She barely could stand fans booing her, and she literally walked away in tears the first time the fans turned on her (Survivor Series 2018), retired after Becky Lynch proved to be too popular even for her and was the only woman to pin her. And, just as an added bonus insult, she retired and tried to get pregnant to start a family only for Becky to beat her to the punch in a pregnancy too. So yes. She really only had MMA and her perfect record as something in her life (she hasn't really done that much that we know, and moved to a farm with her husband). Askren had his family, his wrestling academy, other businesses, still had one more fight after Masvidal served him some humble pie, and the mental strength to take a humiliating loss in stride.

  • This dude has an awesome outlook on the sport, the competition aspect, great attitude about what he sees as an embarrassing loss and not whining about it or questioning it. He takes on whoever is put before him, he talks smack before a fight to entertain, he goes in and gives it his best shot and accepts the outcome regardless of a win or a loss. Reminds me a lot of the champ Chael Sonnen.
