Well a loss like that is pretty humbling, when before he would criticize other fighters and talk about how he should be in line for a title shot after one fight.

And, just as an added bonus insult, she retired and tried to get pregnant to start a family only for Becky to beat her to the punch in a pregnancy too. So yes. She really only had MMA and her perfect record as something in her life (she hasn't really done that much that we know, and moved to a farm with her husband). Askren had his family, his wrestling academy, other businesses, still had one more fight after Masvidal served him some humble pie, and the mental strength to take a humiliating loss in stride.
Most impressive sports interview I have seen. Complete honesty. Crediting his opponent. Humor. Gratitude for his kids, his new home, his friends. With that attitude, this may be Ben Askren's only loss.
