Perfect video. A few years ago My factory shift linkage broke on my 2016 Triglide while I was riding through Wyoming. Embarrassing and it did leave me stranded.
Glad it helped! My stock linkage broke about 18 years ago. Zip ties got me home. Ever since then I use only Heim Joints. Smoother shifting and no failures. 👍 KP
Looks just like the tie-rod end on my old MTD riding mower LOL. Also, there is no need to even remove the jam nut unless you are replacing it, just back it off.

You would think HD could come up with something better than a type of linkage that was used on cars and trucks from the 40" and 50"s.
